Him along with Dicky, Denzel, Paak, and yatchy was the main artists that actually respect from the xxl of last year because they have a personality and they speak their mind. He's street wise and has a lot of wisdom but I think he lacks book wise and that's not surprising considering he didn't have a high school education. I don't think they dumb themselves down so to speak, growing up in an environment where they don't value education moulds you to think that's how it should be, the environment where you grow up in subconsciously has a massive impact on how you can view the world later on in life as that's where you develop habits, skills etc. Growing up in the hood can definitely give you a warped sense of what the world is like since you're exposed to adult things such as guns, violence, gangs etc at a young age. I definitely don't blame him for using more hood slang than proper english because it's just how he was raised and I guarantee if he were raised somewhere that encouraged positive growth he'd speak/act completely different.
