Sweet vid thanks! Quick pointer for anyone wanting to record multiple tracks in session mode, you can enable “start recording on scene launch” in preferences, which allows you to just launch a scene and have it record all the tracks simultaneously in the session view.

I’ve used Reason for many years but I’m not sure it’s up to preform the same job as Ableton does. I’m not sure, I’m gonna try it tomorrow because I’ve just got comfortable with my Digitakt and Model Samples and I’m ready to record a few things. This is a good learning video about it. I can't remember if I covered this in the video, but make sure the Digitakt is set as your audio interface. If you're using another interface like a Scarlett or Apollo, the USB recording will not work. Let me know if this helps!
If you have a sound card with loop playback just enable it and set the input and you will be able to record everything from CZcams and other websites and al the sounds coming from your computer!

Please help! Whenever i select overbridge mode on DT, digitakt disappears from my ableton midi settings and i can not select it s a source for anything?? whenever usb midi/audio is selected digitakt reappearsa in midi settings but then i have no audio from the DT. I tried uninstalling but nothing has worked yet. Im using ableton live 10 + 11, mac os 10.14.6 and connected directly to the computer via usb
really great sharing of knowledge. digitact looks like a lot of fun. I was planning to get one after I got a Mic and a mixer. I decided not to get the mixer yet because it's too big and will scare my gf because it looks expensive. I didn't want to get a focusrite because I will eventually be brave enough to get a mixer. haha. I think I will see what I can do with the digitact, my laptop and guitar. I'll buy a Mic a couple of weeks after the digitact. then the mixer. mixer is less than half the price of the digitact.

thanks for the video! Very clear an understandable. Is there a way to record a single sample in an Ableton track with the FX I set on the Digitakt as well? The wet signal so to speak? I managed to setup the audio routing on the Digitakt in order to have the post FX in an Ableton track but it gets all the post FX audios of all Digitakt tracks... and it sounds also out of sync... in a few words, is there a way to have every single sample "effected" in their respective Ableton audio tracks? Thanks!

Awesome videos. When using the Digitakt as an 2/2 interface thru Overbridge 2.0 is the usb input monitoring in stereo? I know when you sample usb to digitakt it’s summed to mono, but say I want cpu>digitakt>Sp-555. Will the audio still be stereo by the time it’s gets to the sp? Thanks
Thank you! So for this I'm actually not quite sure. I think any sampling directly into DT will always be monitored and converted to mono, but if you're using the DT as an audio interface to record the inputs into Ableton or something, I THINK it's stereo, or at the very least dual mono. I'll see if I can get in contact with Elektron support and report back 👍

I believe it should, but I also haven't used live 9 since 10 dropped. I think you're system requirements matter more. Here's a link to the system requirements! www.elektron.se/overbridge/

Great question! Once Overbridge is installed on your computer it acts like any VST. You can either run the standalone application to record the 8 tracks individually, or you can open the VST in your DAW. I think the only requirement is to have your device connected and powered on to bridge the two. Basically all I do is connect the DT to my computer and open the Overbridge plugin and it works great so far!
Great question! So first, make sure you have the most recent firmware installed. Then download and install all necessary software and drivers from Elektron's website. Once everything is set up and installed, go to your computers Sound settings and select the Digitakt as your sound source. On Windows 10, you can go to the bottom right corner of the screen, select the Speaker Icon, and choose from the list of Audio Devices. If everything is set up correctly the Digitakt should be labeled here. I'm not sure About Mac though, I assume it would be in the Core Audio Settings with a similar drop down menu. Yep exactly the same. No DAW required. The only thing you really need is the 1.11Beta OS for Digitakt, and to install Overbridge on your PC. This allows you to use the DT like any soundcard, like a Focusrite Scarlett for example.
@@minutiaemusic i got my digitakt via USB i have overbridge 2 and also updated digitakt. i also have the asio driver type and it goes through my soundcard komplete audio 6. so when using my audio card as sound device everything works. but im very interested in sampling via youtube like i didnt even know that was possible and you got my thumbs up for that man. hope i can get it to work as well
@ehmarine so to sample from CZcams the Digitakt has to be set as your computers main soundcard instead of the Komplete Audio 6. That's the only way I was able to make that work but it's real easy to switch between both on Windows (using the Speaker icon on the bottom right of the screen, not sure about Mac.) As for the Latency, this is still a Beta so there are some latency issues that are still being worked on. An Overbridge 2 update was released a little over a week ago which improves the Windows DPC latency by 90% so go give that a look at Elektronauts.com This will hopefully bring down the latency you're experiencing. Hope this helps!
For most real time audio recordings I would consider this high, especially with most interfaces aiming for "zero latency" these days. Personally my 6i6 gets me between 6-12ms depending on which computer I'm on, so it's quite noticeable to me. Considering what Overbridge does though it's still impressive. alo having latency issues with syncing digitakt to ableton. digitakt starts abit later. any ideas?
