After 31 years, I'm so glad they have finally done a proper 1/1 scale of the Good Guy Chucky doll along with the accurate box! Been wanting one since I was a kid as well. Only thing this replica is missing is the electronics like the doll has in the movie.
Chucky was one of my biggest fears when I was a kid, too, so watching the movies as an adult was kind of a “face your fears” event for me... now I’m a huge fan!
Same here. My gateway was Bride of Chucky. Then once I was a fan of the sillier movies, I watched the first 3 that scared me.

I got mine yesterday , mine came perfect , no damage on box , perfect hair and from all the reviews and photos people posted, it seems like mine is thee only one with good guys logo is dead center. Super happy since I’m a huge Chucky fan

I want to hug him, but I'm scared he'll flip out and start cursing at me and try to bite me. I feel like I'd be even more afraid of this doll in the box at night. I don't think I can handle that. All that said, I know I'd still feel the impulse to hug him at first glance. It's a weird cycle to anticipate. Thanks for the stories, guys!
Most of the time, I look at the doll and think "yay Chucky"..... but every once in a while I'll look at it and I feel like it's just playing still until I leave.

I want it but $549 is way pass my budget. I would have definitely paid $300 for it.
Rick Vanness 500 is a lot for a doll but remember this it’s chucky so its gonna be expensive! I’m not a fan of pay more than 700 bucks with the import fee to my country and tax duty. But I’m not gonna pay 2k or 5k for custom made. This is as close as best you can get for a screen accurate prop. If you skip this one and they stop making it anymore. Limited to 1750. You will be looking at secondary market that will hike up the price 3 or 4 times! So get it better than regret. Unless you’re a true chucky fan.
I don’t understand why you cannot pay 249 more for the doll it’s not like 3 times the difference.

Got it when it first available from Trick or Treat's kickstarter. I believe it is now available from the Trick or Treat site.
The only issue I see is that the box says “Batteries not included” instead of “Batteries included” considering one of the major plot point of the first movie is them finding out the batteries are STILL IN THE BOX.

Very receptive, indeed. Maybe stressing out the "non-includence" of the batteries was meant to build the contrast to the movie version like "no creepy catch with our doll" here, but otherwise that statement doesn't make much sense for a product which doesn't require any batteries to be used in the first place, as normally, it's rather meant as a pre-warning in order to spare any disappointment of requiring a batch of them and then ending up not having any.
As for authenticity, I wonder if that (at least normally battery-powered) self-moving "good guys" doll ever existed as shown in the movie or if they did some additional tricks in the background.
For sure, it would be even nicer to have that added creepiness and originality (at least judged by the effective appearance in the movie) with a version which is able to speak those few sentences such as ("I like to be hugged!"), but to really match the movie, it would have to do so without the batteries inserted, but then ...
... one has an entirely different problem. ;)

Love it! The body uses a screen used mold...as well as the head, hands, and shoes. This doll is a Childs Play 1 Good Guy doll, not Childs Play 2 Good Guy.
But you DO see the Childs Play 1 Good Guy in Childs Play 2 at the end factory scenes. All those dolls in the factory are actually Childs Play 1 dolls.

*Dissapointed that Brad DOURIF is not voicing chucky in the new remake that weve been waiting 30years for, thats sad. But $500 is ridiculous*
There are ones cheaper so just go get one of those lol You can get a custom one for a couple thousand too, so $500 isn't really that much and it's not like they'll go down in value. The box alone sales for $100 easy.
Also, they're doing a tv show later this year that Brad will voice and follows the original timeline that's a plus.

The truth is, ever since I saw Child’s Play as a kid, I wanted a Good Guy doll. I mean, I love My Buddy, (wherever I go, he goes), but the size of Chucky adds so much to playability. I’m so glad to have my very own Good Guy at last. I also picked up Glen/da from ToT Studios. Now, if only someone would make Ernie and Bert.
