There even was supposed to be Tyson vs Holyfield in early 90's. Both guys at their very prime. A true dream fight. But rape charges ruined every chance for that fight to happen. I'm not defending Tyson but most superstar heavyweights came to the light in 90's when Tyson was locked up. He didn't avoid anyone back then.

Holyfield ten years prior was faster too. He was a cruiser weight could've easily bulked up to fight him. He is already bigger than Tyson and he grew 2 inches since his debut.

He was far more than just powerful, as a lot of people say. The Tyson at the middle/end of his career, is an insult to the one at the beginning. Yet he was still better than most of the competition, even when he didn't train. Tyson, really was a wasted fighter. I think he only fought for Cus, and when Cus died, Tyson kept fighting but didn't have much love for it any more. I think he wanted to please Cus, because he loved him like a father, and he wanted to pay Cus back, for everything he'd done for him. Just seems like yesterday to me.... time flies.

@@sabretooth5404 Tyson fought from mid 80's to very early 90's. There wasn't much to choose from. Most of the guys he fought, were very high in the rankings back then. Can't blame Tyson for that. There even was supposed to be Tyson vs Holyfield in early 90's. Both guys at their very prime. A true dream fight. But rape charges ruined every chance for that fight to happen. I'm not defending Tyson but most superstar heavyweights came to the light in 90's when Tyson was locked up. He didn't avoid anyone back then.
