Looking to upload 93 more times in 2023, what topic should I cover next?
You should cover Oklahoma states rise from losing to South Alabama to winning Bedlam
Have that on my list along with a rise of Ollie Gordon video!
Great Video I was gonna suggest who is the worst team video but you already did it.Glad you did it 👍.
The Downfall of Alex Grinch, The Rise of Clay Helton in Statesboro.
Colorado state losing seasons to Wyoming(as I sometimes call them Brokeback mountain U).
ECU alumni here. We went from competing against SEC and ACC teams to losing to Rice and UTSA. The stepback we took from an 8 win season last year to this has been incredibly frustrating.....just to put it lightly
As a UNC fan I dreaded seeing y’all on our schedule
@@brewsnbirds5029 I was at the 2014 game and it was amazing. Now, I want to avoid every team in NC cause we absolutely STINK! Drake Maye would have a field day against us right now
@@pchs2012VMy second cousin was a wr on that team, good times for ecu
ECU’s defense is solid, but their offense is like the AAC version of Iowa. If they get a new offensive coordinator, I think they can turn it around.
Sam Houston has caught so many bad breaks, and has had the worst luck of any team this season; easily could have four wins.
Yeah same here, they have done really well and come really close to having a drastically different record for a first year school just like Jax State
Agreed, will be a great rebuild next year in NCAA football!
The worst luck of any team? My team is 3-6, yet lost to Alabama & LSU on the road by 3 points, lost to A&M by 12 and lost by 7 or less to the other 3 teams.
@@theonenationpopulistThis is Arkansas I assume and if so I feel you. Just a few plays away from being in contention for conference championship.
@@twisterduck1944 Yes 😢😢😢
“They’re not gonna win any of them” proceeds to beat Louisiana Tech days later
I really feel bad for SHSU, they won a NATTY only a few year ago. Now that they moved up to fbs, just haven’t found their footing yet.
Sam Houston. Their only win is against an FCS team who is 2-5, and those 2 wins are against a D2 team and a team that classifies themselves as a D2 team but don’t have official NCAA recognition yet.
They did play Liberty to a 5 point game and Liberty is now ranked in the AP. 1-8 is not a good look, but they have lost a few games that just slipped out of reach.
I knew my Golden Flashes would get a mention. I don't even know what to say, we are awful. We were headed in a great direction last season, but the P5 rolled in and took all our good players and coaches. We're the TCU of the G5.
Kenni Burns is a good coach though. You guys will eventually land on your feet. Just give him some time.
I have them rated last in FBS. Kent State is the worst team in the FBS subdivision. Unfortunately.
@@christopherfoote4643FBS subdivision is an oxymoron
People didn’t take TCU’s good players. They all got drafted
Great video! Subscribed. I think a good follow up would be choosing and ranking the bottom 5 teams, counting down from 5 to1 after the season is done. That would elicit some very good discussion in the comments.
I really like your recruiting history videos/nfl prospect item, a suggestion for a new series that could be interesting is a history of different OC/DC coaches that goes a bit deeper than the wikipedia highlights like you do with the recruiting videos
This is the first year in a long time that UMass has not been the worst time in college football.
I' know, aint it great!
Lifelong Wvu fan here. Honestly if you told me at the beginning of this season we weren’t on this list I’d be shocked.
We beat Pitt, we're going bowling, and not finishing last in the Big 12. By definition, this is a good season.
The 1-7 AZ State probably deserved an honorable mention.
I am so shocked that both of my teams (Mississippi State and UMass) didn't make it. For UMass, this is a massive leap forward as we were arguably Sam Houston last year.
Umass has 3 wins and could likely have a 4th against Uconn! I thought Umass did a nice job keeping things close with penn state, though!
@@inconnu4961 I had UMass on my watch list a few weeks ago, but they beat Army and Army the next week clobbered an undefeated 25th ranked Air Force in Colorado Springs.
Subject topic: 2024 Power 5 Realignment teams, how they can do in their new conferences.
Great show. Thanks.
Sam Houston State was a powerhouse at the FCS level. We won the FCS championship 3 years ago and went 11-2 the year after. Keeler was one of the most legendary coaches in the WAC and we had it so good. We should have stayed there, we were in not way ready to move up to the next level. We took advantage of a dying conference who was desperate for teams after their best teams left. Being a bearkat is gonna be rough for a very long time unfortunately.
Nah, you'll be fine in a few years. Just like my Arkansas Razorbacks, you could (and maybe should) have about 4 more wins than you do
that's just the growing pains of moving from the FCS to the FBS they'll be decent in a few years
Eat em up 😔
I feel sorry for Sam Houston …they aren’t used to losing so many games like that ..they are like shell shocked for sure. They’ll have better success next year hopefully.
However I’m so proud of my Jacksonville State Gamecocks for their successful season..they are giant killers no doubt ! 🐓 🏈
Honorable mention could be Syracuse, who started out not so bad but is trending down and could end the year on an 8 game losing streak
As a UVA fan, we aren't good at all, but we've been close in a lot of games. Tennessee and GT games didn't go too well, but we had chances in every other game. We had a 14 point 4th quarter lead against the Sun Belt's best team until weather delayed the game and swung momentum and we lost by one. 14 point 2nd half lead at BC was blown. Were driving for the tying score early in the 4th at Maryland before three straight turnovers gave the Terps points and put the game away. Tied the game against NCSU late before a couple of questionable penalties gave the Wolfpack the yardage needed to kick a FG to win it. And against Miami, had a late penalty that would've given UVa the ball in Miami territory with 2 timeouts and less than a minute to go in a tie game before the flag was inexplicably picked up by the ref and the Canes won in OT. JMU is probably the Sun Belt's best team and every other FBS team we've played has either reached the 6 win bowl threshold (UT, BC, UNC, NCSU, Miami) or is sitting at 5 wins and has a chance to do so (UMD, GT). A few lucky bounces or different officiating calls and UVA has 5 or 6 wins right now
wow I had not paid that close of attention to UVA! Maybe Elliott will figure it out the rest of the season and next year!
@@ScottFisherCFB Kent State is the worst team in FBS. F.W.I.W. It isn't especially very close either. It's them by comfortable margin over Akron.
UVA student and football fan here. Thanks for taking the time to talk about our program, it's been entirely dead since the tragedy. Tony Elliott seems to be a very impulsive person and half of his decisions don't make any sense to me, especially off the field. No one ever seems to talk about us, so it means a lot when I hear any coverage, good or bad.
12:10 hey as an Alcorn State fan….we don’t have 7 straight losses…….😅 we are currently 6-3 in our conference. It probably was just an honest mistake since you just finished talking about Southern Miss (who we did lose to). Just had to make it known. Nevertheless great video!!
as a ecu/ nc state fan im very sad currently, im numb to ecu losing at this point but losing MJ Morris is going to suck
Despite their record, Sam Houston is definitely not the worst team. They're one or two plays away in a few games from having a winning record
You really can't blame Sam Houston because this is their first season at the FBS level, and it usually takes a few years to adjust .
Look at JSU tho, it's their first year at FBS level and they have 7 wins already
Yeah, that's not an excuse anymore
JSU and JMU easily found their footing in the FBS
Its UNR. I go there, its the worst football ive seen in a long long time. Two years in a row we have lost to FCS teams, we cant score offensively. Players get in fights on field, and on sidelines. Couldnt fill 20% of the student section, even for homecoming. Its genuinely comedic how unbelievably terrible we are.
As a Southern Miss alum, as much as it saddens me to see the Golden Eagles in that opening slide show, it certainly isn’t unwarranted, especially when looking back on the season had just last year in 2022 compared to this year in 2023. The main factors that lead to our program’s decline was our Defensive Coordinator Austin Armstrong being hired away to the University of Florida, much of our quarterback depth leaving or otherwise being underutilized, teams figuring out how to stop Frank Gore Jr., and the COVID super senior graduating classes catching up to us
UTEP is the worst they consistently terrible. Also considering they were in the WAC with current Mountain West teams and in CUSA with now AAC teams and no conference wants UTEP at all. They can’t even compete and lose to the current CUSA teams (which is honestly very low quality) shows how they can’t compete at all.
Utah, BYU, Arizona State, Arizona. Take or shake a bit. These programs went from WAC, MW to Power conferences. UTEP has some long needed introspection to do.
As a Kansas fan I am so happy we are not in this discussion anymore
You should do a video on rich Rodriguez and the rise of JAx state
I wouldn't say Sam Houston is the worst, I'd definitely say they're one of the most unluckiest/snakebitten teams i've seen in a while though. The only time they really got blown out was vs Houston, every other game was them catching a bad break.
I would love to see a video about unlv, from perennial bottom feeder for decades to mountain west title contenders in odum’s first year
As a Purdue fan we're just waiting for basketball season...so we can inevitably get our souls crushed there, too
idk why they are such a bad tourney team, it is rough
11:24: Two weeks ago Southern Miss was challenging for the Worst Team, but lo and behold, they beat UL Monroe ( another one of the candidates for Worst Two Teams Playing Each Other) and now in week 10 they upset Louisiana 34-31.
That Northwestern has been alright enough to avoid this list is amazing to me. They’ve been terrible for a couple years now after the Big 10 championship appearance, and with their head coach resigning because of a hazing scandal, there should’ve been zero hope, but they’re nearly .500, it’s a little wild. David Braun has done a great job considering he’s never been a head coach and was a defensive coordinator at the FCS level. We’ll see if they actually make him the permanent head coach after this year, but I think he’s probably earned himself a shot somewhere, or at the very least he’ll get hired as a coordinator at a bigger school.
Sam houston is not the worst team, they lost 4 very close games and could easily be 5-4.
As a Purdue fan I took the Walters Kool Aid. I thought they would struggle a bit but still make a bowl. How wrong I was. Defensive woes and some questionable offensive choices have led to a 2-7 record, and idk about Card at this point
It seems that besides teams bringing in twice or more failed elsewhere quarterbacks, another recurring theme was teams under new coaches. Several of these coaches were ones who left good or possibly mediocre at worst teams for "greener pastures" at higher profile schools.
Ok man, how in the world is ASU not on this list. We got shut out by Fresno St, and we lost 3-55 against Utah. ASU has been railed by injuries all year, but that still qualifies them for one of, if not the worst time in the league. And don't let the win over WSU fool you, they have lost 4 in a row including a 10-7 at home against Stanford.
I would cut both Jax State and Sam Houston State some slack since its their 1st year in FBS coming up from the FCS. Give JSU and SHSU a few years they should be back on the winning track.
Honorable mention to Akron, who's highest profile win this year was against Kent State.
As a Kansas fan when we played Nevada and only won by 7 I thought Nevada was better than their previous 2 losses at the time but looking at it now I think it was more of Kansas playing a hella late game and struggling to adjust to that
The only reason Virginia tech to Purdue is we had lost the crowd against a six hour rain delay
When I read your title, I immediately thought of my alma mater--University of Hawaii. Lack of recruiting/talent, bad record for years, very poor fund raising/investment, switched conferences many times because they had no where else to go, has to pay hundreds of thousands to each school to play in Honolulu to cover their travel espense, lack of respect from the community and on the mainland. Hawaii almost did away with DI football. After Head Coach--June Jones, the program has sufferred tremendously.
It’s always insane to me that not a single coach could sell Hawaii on a recruiting level… who wouldn’t wanna live there especially on scholarship…
@@marin5605 Hawaii state government does not invest in education. It's a party school where you get a useless degree not worth the paper it's written on. They (the community) does not like education. I used to teach elementary school on Oahu for 1 decade from '88-'98. I left Oahu right after they started to furlough teachers--take away a day or 2 of work and not pay them. I cannot make this stuff up. They believe teachers are lazy because we work 9 mos. out of the year. Hawaii does not value education, all educators, even the UH professors suffer with funding issues.
I wish UNM wouldn't be mistaken of NMSU as often lol. University of New Mexico are the Lobos, New Mexico State are the Aggies
As a Pittsburgh fan i think they have some potential and i think they could’ve been good but our offense hasn’t been going good because well we are playing a transfer quarterbacks which hasn’t been good at all and the offense coordinator (why does Pittsburgh have bad oc’s) i think it the main fault besides switching players too late.
The big issue imo is narduzzi and cignetti. Narduzzi because he doesn’t help the offense, and cignetti for playing 1922 football.
I believe we have the talents, a good amount of players were on the ACC championship team 2 years ago. If we can’t buy out narduzzi, the firing frank cignetti is the only option. He’s horrid.
Narduzzi i guess but ciggy puff (just came up with that) yeah absolutely is one of the problems also they pulled people too late like veillex and jurkovec im glad they put yarnell
When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was Louisville, Clemson and the Vikings for a second
As a UTEP Miner, we need to be on this list
No mention of Umass is a big step for my boys
for Army to lose to UMass then defeat a ranked opponent the next week says a lot too.
@@ThePelagicHermit Umass was pretty well in control of that game in spite of what the score said! Army could barely move the ball, and even when they did, they were kept off the score bored! Umass could have put more points up themselves!
@@inconnu4961 A real life UMass fan? I don't know if I have ever seen that before.

As a Spartan fan, I'm shocked Michigan State was not in this video lol
I'm a San Jose State Spartans fan and I'm surprised we're not in this video
Here is the best part when it comes to Sam Houston
Only one team they beat Kennesaw State does not have a win against an FCS school this year. Both of their wins are against D-II schools.
What's your opinion on Syracuse?
ECU fan hear. They hyped both our qbs before Ahlers left, like they where even better than him. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Give us almost any transfer qb and we wouldnt be on the list.
The fact that the Bearkats could easily be 7-4 right instead of 2-9 tells you they aren't even close to the worst team on this list.
SHSU used to be a juggernaut in FCS. A shame they've not adjusted. Them and UCA ruined the SLC by leaving.
bro there’s a team in fcs called western illinois and they are 0-8 and are probably gonna lose every other game like last year
Ah yes, as someone who was born and raised in Albuquerque, it’s always fun being reminded how hilariously irrelevant UNM football is…a guy that knows more about college football than most confused us with NM State, the only other notable college football team in the entire state. Even better, NM State pops up later in the video and he correctly calls them NM State, but the logos are so different that a team would have to be completely irrelevant for him to not even notice that he called a different logo NM State like 3 minutes prior lmao.
I ended up going to Notre Dame and I remember being at games and thinking how much it would suck to attend a school without a good football team. Some of the most fun I’ve ever had were a handful of Saturdays each fall across the four years I was there.
SHSU just been catching some bad breaks
To me Kent State IMO.
Sam Houston State was close in a few losses. I honestly see them winning against La Tech
Who is the worst team? Who is the most disappointing team?
Most disappointing is probably my LSU tigers they were supposed to go 12-0 or 11-1 but they are 6-3 right now
south carolina is very disappointing this year
Iowa should have been on this list as the worst team despite their record they have been downright horrible!
Suuth Carolina has been worse but LSU more disappointing IMO. Video on Gamecocks coming this week
Most disappointing - USC Trojans, because they don't play defense.
You are talking about bad teams among GOOD teams. I was hoping to see UMass Amherst, who couldn't find a conference to get in.
How is ball state so bad? They had a quarterback who threw for 500 yards & 4 touchdowns yesterday
As an FIU fan I just don’t want to be blown out by teams in our division
Kennesaw State is moving to the FBS next year
I'm shocked my Huskers aren't on here
As a Cincinnati fan I’d like to nominate us

Update: I’m at the Cum Bowl right now, it is half time, I spoke too soon, we suck and should be on this list.
Shocked my Hoosiers weren't in this video
they at least have some excuse. they play in the big 10 and have been using 2 true freshman qbs all year
You forgot to mention that Sam Houston redshirted 20 players including some of their best players this year. They are preparing for the future not now
Yeah this guy did zero homework. We suck this year but have been in a ton of games and should have at least 2-3 more wins but have choked close games. Plus we’ve had a ton of season ending injuries at crucial positions.
Auburn is not bad we just played tough competition to start with we just go to the easy part of our schedule I expected 6 wins from Vandy but who knows they might get 6 wins next year
Truly perplexed as to how UMass didnt make this list
Arizona state . If they don’t score a rushing td early they won’t score at all no kickers qb is ass defense is ok but offense looks like high school
After I saw that Virginia was not mentioned in the first thirty seconds, I clicked on a random cat video.
7:19: The Kent State loss to 1-8 at the time on a six game losing streak Akron team has to be a candidate for the Worst Two Teams Playing Each Other in 2023.
Miami Hurricanes at least from a coaching perspective
Western Illinois loses to every team mentioned if you counted FCS teams.
UConn without a doubt. As a CT resident we don’t care about the football team. It’s legit all about the basketball programs
No way Sam Houston made a Scott Fisher video, I see the Sam Houston Football team practice every morning😭. I practice as well … they must have had a victory Monday cus they weren’t practicing this Monday after the huge homecoming W, big for the morale they have lost so many OT games.
Oh wow!
San Diego Aztecs are a good shout
Poor vandy fans ): I feel like they should honestly move from the SEC
Yeah, but they’re good at baseball so they can’t move entire conferences.
@@scooby-doofan1849 Exactly, plus they bring in good academics, only private school in the SEC which is a good workaround of the Freedom of Information Act, not to mention the money they bring in for grants and Nashville is in a boom right now, don"t see them leaving. The only place that i could even come close to see them going too is the BIG 10 mainly they would kill for the Nashville area plus similar Academics with Rutgers, Ohio State, Northwestern and now USC and UCLA. next one is maybe the ACC but that would be a stretch.
They're good at other sports. Conferences aren't built entirely around football
You need to read up on Southern Miss before you say they're never any good. Historically a pretty successful mid major program. Also, same for your claim Vandy has never been this bad....they most certainly have.
Losing to an fcs idaho os pretty bad.
For Sam Houston I think it’s too early to tell
Switch akron for ball state imo theyd be favorites if they played on a neutral field
UTEP...should be a close cousin to Sam Houston State!
What do you mean Vandy didn’t compete against Georgia? They allowed only 40 and scored 20!
My michigan state spartans belong on this list
So great to not see Kansas on this list
Michigan is the best team when they have their opponent’s signs. When they don’t it’s gotta be Georgia, Ohio state or Florida state
Any chance you can talk about Cal and Jadyn Ott? Dude's balling
I think Sam Houston is better than a number of teams on this list they’ve just caught some really bad breaks
As a Temple University alumni and unfortunately big fan … It pains me to say the current 3-7 Owls deserve to be on this list. I suppose their win Vs Navy last week to put them at 3-6 before todays 27-23 heartbreaker to South Florida kept them out. But the Owls have only been semi competitive thanks to Kurt Warner’s offspring true sophomore QB EJ Warner. The Owls D has been bad all year and the rushing attack very poor. In two games without Warner due to injury they were utterly dismantled by SMU & North Texas. Both game’s extremely embarrassing. So I suppose young EJ Warner kept the Temple Owls from this list nearly single handedly.
Michigan State would give any of these teams a hard-fought, close game.....sigh...
Bummer to see Cin getting their ass kicked
As a life-long Vanderbilt fan, I can assure you we've had at least four losing streaks of 10 games of more since 1990. It never gets easier, let me tell you. The administration absolutely will NOT reduce the academic requirements for athletes. It's how it is.
Do you think the baseball players get special treatment? haha
@@samuelwestra2807 Not sure what you're asking.
I’m sure all these teams can put up at least 28-42 points on USC’s defense
Not Sam Houston State imo
