ABSOLUTELY MINT CAMPING SPOT! Blencoe Falls in Girringun National Park. Definitely worth the drive!

This weekend we checked out Blencoe Falls in Girringun National Park, QLD.
Only a short drive North of Townsville to turn off at Kennedy (Just North of Cardwell) then a really nice drive through the rainforest up the Kirrama Range (around 50km) to arrive at Blencoe Falls Camp Ground.
The falls drop 90m down the first drop then cascade a further 230m to the bottom of Blencoe Gorge.
No showers there but they do have toilets.
Mint place to camp for a few nights!

I just went up there again last weekend. I checked out the road into that spot and there a sign at the start that says it’s private property of the cattle station 👎🏻 it would almost be worth a shot reaching out to them and just asking to use it

Could you get to the main camp site in a high clearance 2WD? Or do you definitely need a 4WD?

Hey mate, what sorted car do you mean by high clearance 2WD? I’ve seen Subaru Forresters, RAV4, etc up there.

Like just under 4 hours i think it was. The 50km up the Kirrama range is a little rough and slow but a really nice drive

What's the track like to get up there is is pretty good.

Hey mate, the drive in is great. Really nice scenery. I’d recommend that it’s a 4WD only sort of track but I saw a Subaru Forrester get thru there too. It’s about 50km drive in and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours
