    Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”. I’ve been into Korean music since 1998 when I was 15, and since then, an "OG KPOP STAN" was born. For a bit of dance background details, feel free to check out my "About" section!

    A couple days after this was released, CUBE dropped a video "Revenge: Case File G", which explains the situation from the perspectiveof the investigator "S".

  • @chris_tyt
    @chris_tyt Před 4 měsíci +102

    Shuhua is playing two roles: the victim, and the investigator. The storyline is basically the girls teamed up to kill the abuser and staged the arson/explosion to cover it up.
    And the Soojin references in this (especially in the Case File video) is so blatant. At 1:31 of the MV, you can see a paper on the wall where four sets of dates were written at the bottom. Those were birthdays of Minnie, Yuqi, Shuhua and … Soojin. 1998.03.09.
    And in the final scene of the case file video, there were six ppl in the framed picture. The subtitle says “I decided to become the last accomplice.” Those can’t be just coincidence, especially considering IDLE pretty much have a say in every aspect of their productions.

      @@dilanhos2499 Besides the role of the abuser who got un-alived, there are Six roles for the ladies in this MV. Shuhua took the role of the victim of domestic abuse. It has been Shuhua who has had to step up and sing Soojin's parts when the group sings their older songs (not too difficult because back then, Shuhua was not singing very many lines of her own because she felt that her Korean Language skills were not good enough and she did not want to ruin anything for fans or wind up with even more hate than the group gets just for existing. Soyeon would simply do some re-arranging the parts so what is now a Five-Member group could perform songs that used to have all six of the members. Usually, it is Shuhua singing in Soojin's place so in this storyline she also steps in to the role that Soojin may have had originally). But Shuhua also plays the separate role of the Investigator.

      @@jamescurfman3284 yea but that's not an answer to my question 😕 if explosion was a cover-up for the dead body, then why Shuhua (or Soojin idk) was in the explosion and exploded in there? That's my question.

    There are so many connections to Soojin when you see it. Her date of birth, alongside Minnie's, Yuqi's and Shuhua's on the piece of paper next to the newspaper cutting at 1:31, that her last album was "I burn" that Easter was in the middle of the month that began with the first allegations and the announcement that Soojin was dropped from "Last Dance", that it was released on the 100th day of her return as a soloist. 6 pairs of fingerprints on the board...

      I choose to believe all of it. Shuhua could have just played one character but I feel like she is a stand-in for Soojin as the victim
      They have kept her around so much in spirit through references. I always have that daydream of what may happen when they have options regarding Cube.
      I also really agree I would like to see Shuhua try acting. She’s always wanted to and has really conveyed emotion and conflict through her expressions in a couple places.

    • @Jneedstostopobssessing
      @Jneedstostopobssessing Před 4 měsíci +1

      @Jonny-49 I honestly am not sure what their best option would be next year. If they could go to one of the big 4, I'm not sure they'd have the same creative freedom and idon't think smaller agencies could afford them. Maybe going independent? I imagine that Soojin's contract would make it next to impossible for them to regroup, and I have no idea how things would work for the songs they have released since. I think my ideal rn is that they find a way to continue being themselves outside of Cube, and to start touring with her as a supporting act and having her join some of the performances from when she was part of the group.

    • @Jonny-4K
      @Jonny-4K Před 4 měsíci +2

      @@Jneedstostopobssessing Yes the dream would be for them to create their own company. Since it sounds like Soyeon is literally managing their staff division right now, I have confidence she could steer the ship, but someone (possibly the members) would need to bankroll the startup. I was excited EXID owns their brand now and runs it themselves but not at the scale (G) I-dle would. BP members’ individual labels will be an interesting trial and I am really curious if they will sign other artists in addition to themselves.
      I can’t predict how it would be received in Korea if they went independent, or if they brought Soojin back in. Like I said it’s all daydreams for me, but I get the feeling they have a plan and keep dropping Soojin hints for a purpose. My fandom will remain stable however it plays out.

    • @jamescurfman3284
      @jamescurfman3284 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Or, what if they were to join one (or all ) of the new companies created by members of BLACKPINK (since Miyeon is friends with all of those ladies)? Soyeon would not HAVE to create her own company and she would not have to take time to run the entire operation, she could focus entirely on Production, etc, all the things she does already for (G)I-DLE.
      The BP ladies already KNOW that Soyeon has brains, imagination, skills and drive as a Creative Genius. I bet any of them would be JUMPING at the chance to take her on as a Producer, basically be hands-off and 'just let her do her thing'.
      Even if it does not happen with any of the BP members, wherever Soyeon lands, we already know she will be a massive power to be reckoned with. EVERYBODY would be LUCKY AS HELL to have her. Same with all the rest of the ladies, of course.
      And CUBE can just go suck it.

    You got it! It's harder to watch non-Neverland react to this video, as it's so obviously about Soojin. Nothing against other reactors, but for videos that are huge Soojin references, we need to see Neverland reactions. I knew as the second watch went along, you were going to piece it all together! 😊

    Soojin references Soojin got falsely accused during Easter, her last album in idle I burned, there's 6 people (2 Shuhua) in the hallway when Minnie bumps into Yuqi, there's 6 set of fingers prints but 5 current members, and on the wall of papers it shows Soojin Minnie shuhua yuqi birthday as well and it's been 100 days since Soojin returned to kpop

    • @aPAULogies8o8

      I'd like to point out that the 6 fingerprints doesn't include the detective (shu) but yes STILL includes "Soojin"/victim, + the other 4 girls. The last fingerprint would be the attacker. It's STILL a reference to Soojin but not in the aspect of it being all 6 girls as everyone would think.
      To back my claim, the detective already have the fingerprints trying to figure out what happen. Therefore, she wasn't a part of becoming an accomplice just yet. If we did include the detective's fingerprints it would be 7, the 6 girls + the attacker. In that aspect it wouldn't make sense. I also still want to believe that the ending is "Soojin" unravelling that she's fine and back again as a hint to her solo debut. 👍

    Keen-eyed fans did spot that Soojin's birthday is written at the bottom of the letter on the evidence board. It's also curious that in the hallway scene after Minnie runs into Yuqi, suddenly the five members freeze in time, and a sixth person (played by Shuhua) moves into the scene.

  • @childofartemis5410
    @childofartemis5410 Před 4 měsíci +5

    Here's my theory, (its a long one)
    This is an abuse-murder related story. Each girl has a character to play. I believe
    Minnie is a celebrity
    Yuqi is an aspiring musician
    Miyeon is a psychologist
    Soyeon is the owner of the hotel
    Shuhua is playing two roles.
    1)The one in the white dress is in an abusive relationship.
    2)The other one is an investigator who is watching this story unfold along with us, audience or her future self looking back at that last easter night..
    (On a side note, we believe the girl in an abusive relationship is a direct reference to Soojin.. At 1:31 you can see Soojin's birth date written on the poster, also at the hallway scene there are 6 of them...Also, last Easter Night could be a reference to April 2021, Soojin was removed from the Last Dance mv during that time and that was her last appearance with thr group)
    Let's get to the story,
    The main character Shuhua was in an abusive relationship. The blood on her lips at the first shot indicates this. Minnie and Yuqi are neighbours of this Shuhua and they have known about the abuse she is going through. Soyeon knew about this too. Soyeon looking through the keyhole indicates this. Last Easter night, the man tries to attack her again, and she fights back. All the women in the hallway witness this and decided to help her. The shock on Yuqi's face after colliding with Minnie and looking at the door of Shuhua's room indicates this...Yuqi hits him with the guitar. Miyeon stabs him with the pen. Soyeon pours the gasoline.. Minnie lit it using the matchbox she had. This is the blast we see at the very beginning of the mv. And they all get rid of the evidence of the murder. We can see Soyeon dragging the trash bag through the hallway , at 0:46 you can see Soyeon is inside a CCTV control room. She deletes the footage of anything related to that murder. Minnie was the main suspect of the crime. Miyeon, who is a psychologist, took part in the investigation and helps Minnie with faking the lie detector test. At the interrogation scene with Minnie, Miyeon drops her pen, the same one which she used to stab the abuser. This is an indication that Miyeon dealt with the legal proceedings and closed the case. The newspaper cuttings on the investigation room of Shuhua references several fire accidents including the Mumbai Tardeo (Kamala building) fire which resulted in the death of *6* people...
    After that, we can see them dance in joy... They killed the abuser and saved the victim. Shuhua, the investigator who unfolded this case learns the truth but decides to keep it as a fire accident because the abuser deserved it all.
    In the end we see the victim Shuhua taking off her bandages. This is to show that she has overcome the wounds and scars of her previous abusive relationship. She is free now...She is a phoenix risen from the ashes... SHE GOT THE REVENGE !!!!
    Edit : to explain the Soojin reference!!
    Soojin was the victim role in this mv. She was the one who was getting abused by that man. The man is the character form of the haters... The ones who destroyed the peace among the members, the people who falsely accused them and fueled the scandals against Soojin.
    So in the mv Shuhua acts as Soojin, as we all know how close they were... After Soojin left, Shuhua was the one who took the role of stage presence and most of Soojin's lines. People always pointed out how similar Soojin and Shuhua were. So that might be the reason why Shuhua acted as Soojin too. In the scene where Shuhua is lying down on the floor, you can see used cigarettes beside her ... To remind you, Soojin was accused of smoking during tmschool days and she admitted to have tried it once or twice.
    Anyways, the girls came together to take revenge...Their love for the members is still strong. They are a family. No haters can break it...
    Soojin re-debuting as a soloist is compared to a phoenix risen from ashes ... She is running on this path again to achieve her dreams ... A fun fact , this mv was dropped on the 100th day anniversary of Soojin's return.... I heavily doubt that being a coincidence... Now Soojin and GIDLE are on their own paths.... Separate, but still together as one soul....like a family!!
    They will have their REVENGE... because THEY ARE FEARLESS & THEY CAME TO TAKE WIN !!

    My theory after many hours and more opinions
    the whole MV it’s a reference to Soojin, MV begins whit Soojin (Shuhua) in the 2021 Easter Night when Soojin’s abuse false accusations starts after they release I burn, that’s the explosion, then we have Soojin( Shuhua) looking through the binoculars to all was happening, Minnie it’s Soojin the famous and successful idol, Soyeon it’s , Soojin trying to clean her self of all the false accusations, Miyeon represents the investigation itself, then we see Yuqi like Soojin alone waiting, and fighting brave against all the people to wanted to damage her name and career, we see in the hall way, confusion, impotence, pain, angry and we see how Soojn( Shuhua) it’s against the wall In the same way that Soojin stood whit her hands outside of her back pockets, we see 6 woman’s, we got a Shuhua( Soojin) in a room full of papers, 6 fingerprints, a document with the dates of birth of the girls and Soojin's birthday is in second place 09/03/1998.
    That scene depicts Soojin looking for the truth despite the fact that the agency and many fans left her alone, she kept fighting, and although Shuhua collapsed at times on the floor, Yuqi alone at the window, Miyeon confused when she sees the number 5 in the elevator, Then we see Minnie holding the flame (rage/hope), Yuqi playing guitar (Soojin dream to be artist) and that's when she decides to take revenge.
    Enter the scene of the mistreatment, Shuhua is Soojin being dragged and beaten by the media, fans, citizens, and all viewers in general, that's why the change of vision on the camera, it's you're the one who hurt me (it's the implicit message) it's you who left me alone, it's you who deserves to be destroyed, by the way the hands are not of a man they're from a woman, we all know exactly who.
    This MV comes out just the day in Soojin turns 100 day of her re debut, 100 days of revenge, her revenge is her smile and her love, her art, you thought I would die, you thought you had destroyed me, No, I kept dancing and I kept laughing, I kept singing and I kept growing, like the phoenix among the flames was reborn, two more references, Soyeon wipes the blood from her mouth exactly with the two movements like, Soojin did in QueenDom in the put it straight performance, and we see Shuhua at the end with her face covered in bandages two debut references of Soojin with her mask in Latata, and the first video he released when she comeback whit Black Forest

    i can see a lot of people talking about how it is a reference to soojin, which it might as well be, however, if you watch the scene where shuhua is looking over at the newspaper clippings, you can see a clip which has an article about the fire which took place in a mumbai high rise building, the six fingerprints and all the hints to the number six also refer to the high rise fire which was on the 6th floor, also that the man who was burnt to death abused 6 women.
    This case took place quite a while ago, unfortunately, even though i live in mumbai, i cant figure out exactly which case the MV is talking about as fire due to short-circuits and other reasons is unfortunately common in high rise buildings.

    A short theory on this,
    This mv is about Soojin and her scandal and them getting revenge for it, as in being bold with the reference and facing the public.
    Anyways, the girls obviously have a role to play.
    Minnie - Soojin's idol life
    Shuhua - Soojin trying to prove her innocence
    Miyeon - Soojin collecting evidence
    Soyeon - Soojin cleaning the mess
    Yuqi - Soojin's devastated situation
    Shuhua in white dress - Soojin's real life

    It is widely known that the ladies themselves have been counting down the days until they can leave Cube. AT LEAST both Shuhua and Minnie have been caught on video counting down...
    It is almost a certainty that these ladies will NOT re-sign with Cube (I REALLY HOPE NOT!) or if they do, the entire company will see some DRASTIC changes! There's just no way that things would simply remain status-quo AND these ladies re-sign! NOW WAY will the ladies let that entire situation just slide and be forgotten!
    No way will the company ALLOW the ladies to spill the beans of what happened if they re-sign. People would get FIRED. So NO WAY will things work out with a happy ending for everybody.
    So, what happens when they leave Cube? They will FINALLY be allowed to talk about that entire FARCE surrounding Soojin and how the entire thing was miss-handled by certain dickheads in that company. The entire company will burn to the ground when the entire truth is finally ALLOWED to come out.
