In the last game: Michael could have digged one card deeper before lili ultimate. Mill the other lantern on top, then brainstorm with jace, find the decay ;) No need for the second lantern in that Spot.
I know myself and several others I play Magic with (including seasoned players and even shop owners) agree that if JtMS gets unbanned in Modern, then Bloodbraid Elf should be as well. Why? Simple. They both have a CMC of four, and with Jace's 3 loyalty against the 3 power and haste of BBE, it's a fitting balance. Yes, Jace is stupid good in any blue deck (see Cawblade), and BBE is good in literally any deck that has RG in it due to it being a 4 mana Cascade spell, but considering metagame and overall card popularity, the general consensus I've found is that if both are unbanned at the same time, the power level (post unban shock, of course) would level out fairly nicely, with blue decks having an actually decent finisher/top end, and decks like Jund, RG Ponza, Zoo, Temur Delver, and even fringe decks like Gruul Aggro and GR Elves a chance to have a stronger foundation, but still be in check. Just my 2 cents.
Was it possible to use the Jar before it was sacrificed with other cards in the pile and name Bridge, which means the Bridge lives for the current Todd's turn?
Why would you put Jace in the deck even for a test run... Dark confidant doesn't belong in the deck either. Those cards are no more in that deck than in living end. Yes it does kind of change the dynamics because nothing in the deck costs more than 3 and Jace costs 4 which then influences the bridge because it influences hand size.. A point of criticism, if you're going to play Lantern Control rather play it card for card what it is within reason rather than adding extra cards that don't work.
If you are referring to game 5- how would jace draw him out of it with 0 mana, at 2 life, facing 3 threats? If there is even a possibility of not dying the next turn, how is it more likely than peeling another bridge (or way to get it)?
I've been building the deck selling pieces of my soul where need be to finish it and I can't wait to play it every chance I get :). I'll think of you when I finish it by end of this year/early next year ;)
@@TheDave1769 ever complete the build? Curious cuz I just started building mine and have a few cards to go before completion! Still need 3 mox opals, 1 ensnaring, and A few others. Can't wait to complete it! I've been playing it at my local magic stores and beat a few decks, and have been beaten pretty badly as well. One guy pulled out a damn blood moon/chalice of void antimeta deck and murdered me.
@@sda1819 I did :). Been playing it for a while now. I had to live at home for a month to afford the opals . I find it far more taxing to play this deck over any other deck but I love it. Join the FB group, helps alot. Blood moon is tough but opal helps with that. Deck is hard to learn and master but I have become a force to be reckoned with in my local meta and people wouldn't stop talking about it for a long time. I hope it goes well for you!
Love these videos!
i know it's an old video but, dude played mox opal and activated it to cast bridge. Mox opal doesn't turn on until other artifacts are on the board.
They did so much wrong. Judges gringe video.
I feel like cutting tar fire all together is almost always a mistake.
one year later

why didn't todd reveal his hand for the s extraction
Michael kept forgetting to use his JTMS.
decklists?
When you surgical someone, your opp gets to check ur deck, and if it's casual, atleast check their hand... lol
They already knew each others decks and the only times they didn't view each others hand is when they already had perfect info.
How could Todd play Liliana when it was nedelt?
he can play it but he cant use it
how did todd get delirium after he tarfire michael in game 2 ?
Joshua Yap instant tribal land creature

Pharaoh DZN I believe the star city games creature collection sleeves
Tezzerets just better in this matchup, usually the -4 ult is enough to kill right after one turn
Michael never wins a dice roll XD

Hey guess who is now unbanned?
Majors chose poorly...jace could of drew him out of that

I freakin hate lantern control with a passion that burns brighter than the brightest known star!
