I remember buying this bc the GameStop working said “you’ll learn how to skate if you buy this” never learned how to skate but got me hooked on skate
Skate 1 the best game hands down. Best map, best soundtrack. It’s only missing get off board

I never played these growing up as i didnt have a console, i just bought an xbox 360 and all 3 skate games and man im having the best time, best xsports games ever imo , and i've played everything at least on pc

And another thing, the way your jumping to grind is completely wrong. Your basically expecting him to grind and your angle going towards the rail or steps is wayyyy off. You can’t expect him to grind and you jumping right at the steps.
