Secret Santa is a game changer! Especially when everyone is grown. My siblings and I do secret santa (we use Elfster) and then group together for a big gift for our parents. All other gifts are opened simultaneously, but one gift at a time so we don't feel like we're rushing and not appreciating the moment/gifts.

Mama was needing that shotski after the day she had before! We actually hit a deer on our way home from family Christmas this year. I felt the same way as your mom because this miracle random person stopped and made it so our car was able to drive home! It was such an amazing moment! So glad your mom is okay and was able to spend Christmas with you!! ❤

Also consider leaving the Christmas decorations up longer! The traditional 12 Day of Christmas went until January 5 so it's funny to me that in modern times we've shifted to "the Christmas season starts at Thanksgiving or earlier and instantly stops when Christmas Day is over". Especially since January still has long winter nights!

I was the same way about being a paper book girl and was so against the kindle. You’ll be forever changed with the kindle! It makes reading so much easier and being able to have a book with you at all times! I struggle with falling asleep at night too and with the backlight of the kindle it lets you read in the dark and helps me fall asleep!

First off I love watching your vlogs so much, the way you speak and your content is relaxing to watch & wind down to any time of the day. Secondly, I love hearing you talking about your dad. My dad passed away on Christmas Day this year after battling cancer for the last 2 1/2 years. His same cancer came back just around his 10 year mark of being cancer free and it was the toughest battle, but he was the strongest and most brave soul I’ve ever known and I got to have him as my dad & role model. He kept saying he just wanted to make it to Christmas and he did just that. I’ll never not think of him and carry him with me everyday, and I see you always thinking of your dad and hearing you speak about him warms my heart because I just know he was the best guy. ❤️ happy holidays and happy new year to you and Max & your whole family.

I Love the Name change Idea! I understand bc I lost both my parents before I turned 17 😢. The names have always been a wonder for me.
I did that with my middle name! I have way more connection to my maiden name then the middle name I was given so I chose to have that as my middle name bc it means so much to me. I’m so happy I did it and didn’t take away my maiden name! Also random but helps with family history lol and my family is big into family history.

I come from a family of eight kids we did Christmas opened them all together.
For our family Christmas someone hands everyone a present we open at once and then everyone gets another. So it's not a total free for all and yo can still see what other people got. I usually pause while someone is opening gift from me lol. My boyfriend and I exchange just the two of us one by one but when it's a larger group it would take so long. Also, so glad to hear your mom wa okay. That would be very scary!

When I got married, I kept my maiden name and added it to my middle name for the same reason - my dad passed and I wanted to make sure I kept that part of him ❤️

I got my maidan name tattooed on my arm to have it still be apart of me! I love my middle name too much to change it but I know that when I get married I'll change my last name. Your dad will always be with you ❤
