This song defined my childhood in the 90's.
@@enriquenicolasbustodelavil4808 Because the main melody was use 8-bit Master System instrument
Man. I remember playing all of the streets of rage games on my Xbox 360. My dad got me the genesis classics for xbox so i can play the games he enjoyed playing as a kid. And streets of rage 2 was always my favorite. And it was because of the soundtrack. This is my favorite song in the game and it just brings me back.
Bro I miss that fucking game bro, I was 11 years old with the 360 living my best life
Imo it suits the bar setting more, but when the track's queued between Go Straight and Never Return Alive, you want the faster version to keep the pacing.
Iceferno exactly. This would kill the vibe worse than that bitch Kendrick Lamar was talking to.
Or as I call it: "The PAL 50hz version". :P
Axel : wassup lady? can I get you a drink?
Electra : (undresses and hits the floor with her whip)
Axel : wohoooooooow, now that's the way I like things to be going!
(Blaze comes in, pissed off, takes Axel away and literally knocks some sense into him)
Axel (loses a life): _“UUUUWAH....”_ 😵💫
Axel (respawns): "Yeah... I deserved that one..." 😞
Here it is 2023 & this is still one of my favorite games & game tunes! ❤❤
Smoke lounge vibes are strong in this style. I love it! Just need a nice drink and a something nice to smoke.
.....Smh...THIS IS ONE HELL OF A BAR SONG✊✊✊✊👌✨
I can definitely sleep/relax to this 😎👍
Got a lady in your house, need the right song to set the scene? In The Bar the slow edition'll set you right!
@sTeEvE97One It's not used in the game, but you can find it in the sound test in the options menu. There's some other songs that weren't used too.
Everyone here has had a childhood if you remember this game
This was the level where you realized the game was not only about to get better than the first part of stage 1 indicated but the music would also just keep getting better.
not sure if I like the slow or normal version better
xj0462:idk this was unused so i think this would fit but they both are fine.
I def prefer the slower one. But the faster one isn't bad. Slow one fits better imo.
@@Torianflanagan731 Nah, i'd say the faster one fits the action more, this is too slow to fight to, but it does fit the bar setting itself more.
.... The slow plays before doesn't it? And then it picks up and gets faster??
HAAAAARD....SMH..2ND FAVORITE TRACK OFF HERE...SMH..TOUGH!!!!!💪👌✨
Jazzy beat em up!
This song used. The Master systems YM2413 and the GenesisYM2612 in tandom i love each systme had its own sound and graphics unlike todays consoles where its the same
This guy just remade this beat on instagram,it brought me here today. Memories.
This is giving me Ronny Jordan vibes! Acid Jazz at its finest!
Almost sounds like a love song when slowed down.
If SoR2's music got affected via the PAL rendering system like it did with games like Sonic 1 and Kid Chameleon.
The slower version of this tune is more mellow and works well with a bar vibe.
sounds like an underwater sonic zone
thanks so much man i love this music so so much
ironically enough, an artist by the name of "18 carat affair" did this and called it New Jack city II. Either way this is a banger
Why do I feel like smoking a blunt and drink a cappuccino after listening to this.
@@johnny_roots 😁 For sho, i got the Swishas Grapes. All we need is some fine breezies with phat asses and we can set this b*tch right.
Bruh go listen to 18 carat affair's new jack city, that fits your description more
@@mumuoz1684 Lol, you're right bruh. That 18 carat affair's New Jack City is just the thing to handle my preference. But this joint though is what i fell in love with though.
Walks outside behind the bar...
BARTENDER IS FRICKING JACKED
Me: sheeeeeeiiiittt
this track pretty snazzy
hardest genesis track ever made
Good times
The best of the game for my
Theme of the Moulin Blue bar, london, where the next SOR will take place.
@StreakXD Uh what. Just to refresh my memory little bit more I checked this Mega Drive Longplay [003] Streets of Rage 2 and 8 min later i hear this song here it was pitched but nonetheless is there.
*walking in the rain ready to fight the bar tender*
(The dude scared the shit outta me)
Whoever disliked this had to miss the like button.
What moment in the game you can hear this version of the Bar song at ? I have finished it in all difficulty levels (except maniac mode.. x) ) and didn't heard it this way (sorry for my english that's'not my maternal language)
gaming voltage intakes.
that's why.
I bet people are gonna make sad edits of this song
@StreakXD So is it technically correct to say that both this and the faster version can be found on the sound test of the North American version (or any version)?
Or are they exclusive to each version?
Which sound test numbers are each version located?
+Vox Nihili The slowdown results from the music being synched to the CPU, which in turn was synched to the refresh rate of the screen. That makes music about 15% slower on European TVs of the time.
Many Megadrive developers resynched the music in PAL versions so that it played at the normal speed, but some notable games like the original Sonic the Hedhehog and Gunstar Heroes didn't.
At the time Nintendo had this problem resolved by adding the techniques to resynch the music to the SNES devkits.
Megadrive developers had to do this manually until the second generation of Megadrive devkits came around I believe. Even after that some developers didn't always bother, which was the case with Vectorman. A megadrive can be modded with a region switch to play the music correctly, which makes the snes slightly more convenient, but the Megadrive is still an amazing console.
So the music in the PAL versions is fixed in the Streets of Rage games ?! I'd just buy a mega drive because of these game's awesome soundtracks ;-) would be kinda shitty though, if the music in the Pal version would suffer from slowdown ...
@Marco Wolken there's no way this is a result of NTSC -> PAL? This is way slower than 15%. Probably it's in the sound test because Yuzo thought it should sound this way, whereas someone higher up thought it should be faster to match a fast-paced beat 'em up game.
City Pop version?
10 minutes isn't long enough.
Y’know it’s weird. This sounds more like the version I remember than the original does😯
IMO this version is far better than the original one used in-game. Amazing how simple tempo change can improve a song
