What are you guys talking about? he sounds fkn badass dude, he always had a raspy talking voice to begin with. & those high's? the dude's getting massaged every night with a vocal coach & what not, just take a look at their stage setup, I can't believe they put all that money & effort on it, just to get his vocals "fucked" nah.. I can't tell he sounds sooo good but some parts sound like really strained i wonder if that's from the surgery he had, But yeah they are kicking ass I just worry about his vocal chords but ik he has the best coach and people helping him. Wish they came to Syracuse =( i wasnt able to get to buffalo!
To my knowledge matt didn’t have vocal surgery he just rested it for a couple of years literally. Also if you notice he has a new singing method holding his hand on his head to give him more control but you’re right it really sounds like he’s struggling here so maybe it’s from the long tour which is understandable he’s been screaming all tour since mid to late 2023 so I imagine his throat needs a little break I heard a few voice cracks and he sounds almost tired and like he wants to stop but he continues for us fans :)
But then you have moments like at 3:38 that blow my mind he never would go for the higher octave on that scream in the past and it sounds amazing so he’s probably just strained a little like you said and maybe tired so he is losing slight edge
It's just his new singing style. If I remember correctly, during the 'Hail to the King' tour, he had to stop singing in his 'LBC' style because his shows were becoming more frequent and longer. I think during 'The Stage' era is when he changed how he did these distortions, which he has been improving until now. Personally, I love them; it sounds almost like he's doing growls constantly.
Honestly while others are saying this sounds amazing…. To me it sounds very rough…. Like he’s constantly on the verge of blowing out his voice when he’s forcing out those heavily distorted high notes.
@@crazykiller001schannel5 he was talking about the new album being sung in different keys which has helped keep his voice from blowing out like it did back in 18, probably why they tend to play so much from the new album on this tour
@@ampedex ok and? I’m talking about the fact that his voice gets extremely thin whenever he sings high notes…. It’s very shaky at best and at worst, like when he does the high part in cosmic before the solo, or the high “I’m gone” at the end, is voice complete shits itself….
finally, Matt voice is closer to The Stage studio version!!! amazing
it has never been more off than now.. his voice is SO much worse then 2016.. Everyone that does not hear that has a problem with hearing.
