She would really benefit from not putting trash down and immediately putting it in the trash and teaching her son to do the same. It would make her life so much easier! I hope she's able to keep it up. You did an awesome job! I can't imagine having a kitchen with no cabinets! That would be so hard to store things. I'm so glad she reached out for help! That takes a lot of strength and bravery.
I watch another lady who says Don't put it down put it away. That has kinda stuck with me and I think it's a good idea for helping to keep things in order.
I have been a single Mom and it is very difficult. Children of divorced parents are 35% more likely to have a mental illness. May God Bless You For Helping Her! May God Bless The Mom and Her Children!
I think that single moms should only feel like super women for being able to do a job that is meant to be done by two. I was raised by a single mom and when I see how much love, care and protection she gave me I thank God for being so lucky. Great job Barbie ❤

Barbie, the steel sponge is perfect for enamel and really hard surfaces, but it has very tiny, sharp edges, and if you use it on wood, plastic, or glass, it will leave small micro-scratches that you wont see when the surface is wet but it will be very noticeable when the surface is dry. And these small scratches collect bacteria and dust and make it harder to clean for the next person. Just wanted you to know. Be careful with those. I always read the label and it tells you what to use them on and what not to use them on. You should trust those labels because they have a tested the different sponges and
scrubbers.on different surfaces.

You are so thorough, and so amazing. I could almost feel the mother's despair in the "before" photos, and the bright happiness that filled the room when you were done. I hope her landlord fixes the electricity - Those cords leading out of the kitchen are overloading the outlets and they're dangerous.
Any electrical plug near water should be gfci to avoid electrocution these days, new codes. Very dangerousr by sink.

This is not meant as criticism. This person has alot of dishes..it would be easier to have just a place setting for 2..it would then be super easy to wash and store..I see storage in the kitchen is minimal, I would recommend less bulk buying, because the boxes have no cupboards or pantry to go in. It is much easier to clean with less stuff.
Right paper plates too
Paper plates are not good for the environment. Anything disposable is really.
Remember that buying small amounts at the store or using paper plates is much more expensive than bulk buying or washing dishes. There are probably other solutions to her need for storage as she is clearly on a tight budget.
I think the less trash she has to deal with is also helpful. The dishes didn't seem excessive for two people. It was two pots, 2 big plates, 2 little plates and 6 bowls.
Plus with growing kids it’s hard to nut small amounts of food they are hungry all the time
Amazing job Barbie - hopefully it will give this lady the motivation to clean the rest of her space.
Goodwill have small items of furniture that I’m sure she and her son could carry home to make that kitchen more functional.
I’d also find a plastic container and line with a plastic bag for rubbish to leave in the kitchen.

Someone else's idea for more counterspace and temporary furniture was fold out tables, chairs and loungers, metal shelves, can add plastic bins or baskets for food and small appliance.. I thought it was a good idea that I would have never thought of on my own. Inexpensive, delivered, can handle yourself too. Very glad her apartment will be getting more countertops and hopefully cabinets too. You did an amazing job yet again. Very happy for this single mom that you helped her so much. Like alot of single parents, they need help. ❤

Thanks for another great post. You aren't just helping the homeowners here, but you help me tackle those dreaded projects at home as well! I'm cleaning out the kids playroom today (gross stuff found in the toybox!) and doing a through cleaning of our back deck and bathrooms. I have a tendacy to get overwhelmed easily, but If you can handle homes this in need of cleaning, I think I can handle mine! That said, I can understand how anxiety and depression could get to the point where the home ooks like these and is too much to tackle. I am so glad you are helping these deserving people get on top of things.

From one cleaner to the next baby please put a mask on and keep glove on but most important Always on a window while cleansing someone home or you will keep getting upper respiratory infections and sore throats it’s cause you are inhaling the germs your trying to disinfect whole whole time not using some sort of protective barrier cleaning base solution try using 99proof alcohol and peroxide with the dawn in your cleaning methods it disinfects everything and keeps the air around you sanitize keep up the great work thumbs up 👍 ❤❤❤

Most people who have not dealt with depression on this level have no idea what they (others) are mentally going through. These hoards and cleanings are representative of what’s going on in their minds and emotions. Some of these comments are out of an ideal world or a world where you were actually taught how to cope. This IS THE way these women and men are coping.

Hello Barbie, I like very much your videos. I think is much better to pick up from the floor what is NOT garbage, and then sweep away all that is really garbage. Instead of bending yourself, you can suffer lower back pain. But you do a very good job. You have my respect. ❤

Cheap, non branded metal scrubbers often do scratch things. But I have never had problems with brand named scrubbers sold for cleaning.

They make floor scrappers on a pole, so you don't have to keep bending over. They come in different sizes. Floor striper works fast on very greasy floors. I love your videos. You are an angel to these people ❤

I always get furniture from thrift stores. As well as bins, garbage cans, and laundry baskets. I like to find folding tables.
Amazon have folding table, laundry basket, bins, trash cans/garbage bin and cabinets shelves. As well. Easy delivery.
25:43 When we were looking to buy a house, there was one we viewed that was like this. They had spray-painted the interior walls without cleaning them, including painting right over a dead spider in its web 😬.
There are so many single moms/dads struggeling. I have so much respect for them. They definitely deserve help! 🩵

The younger the child the harder it is to be a single parent. (From my experience that is) i was lucky enough to be living with my parents when my daughter was born and they helped out

How to pack trash easily without using so many plastic bags: find a box that is trash & pack all other boxes and papers into it breaking it down and folding it up shove it into the 1st box. Use 1 plastic black bag for rubbish. And if you have plastic containers to recycle I would put those into a laundry basket you are getting rid of or a box or a clear plastic bag. That way once set it out you know what needs to be recycled and what might be able to set out to curb for donation or taken to a shelter, homeless housing, or Goodwill.
Try to use less plastic bags IF you can because most are not biodegradable. Reuse all reusable grocery bags rather than getting plastic bags. And use also paper bags because these can be recycled and reused for projects. I used to cover the dining room table to use win making play dough for the kids or to cover books or use when painting.
Always think of how something can be reused.

@@cleanwithbarbie i live in Greece and we use it a lot. I am proud for my 33 years old steel pot and pans that belonged to my mother originally and they look brand new until today. And I don't intend to replace them any time soon. I keep them clean and shinny with a metal sponge. I know you can feel me, Barbie
