So I've enjoyed literally every video if not like 99% of your videos Caleb and the CZcams studio on a stand, on a desk, on rolling cart, a rolling cart and 2 sit stand desks and they were all AMAZING...but when you cut to the HDMI patch panel...OMG!! Like all the other setups, this is GOLD GOLD GOLD!

Incredible! This has filled in some of the gaps for me and thank you yet again.
Really like the rolled up producers choice on the desk as I’m experiencing this same issue, despite having producers choice blankets on nearly every wall.
Also quite incredible seeing the size of the space as it looks huge on the videos! Was also just about to buy a new white table so another good nugget for reconsideration.
You’re a legend Caleb, appreciate you sharing all of this with us muggles and I’m sure many will agree, not all hero’s wear capes 😎

Killer video Caleb! Love the progression throughout your youtube career! The Aputure line is certainly fantastic and the Amaran family is literally perfect for a permanent youtube studio. Only reason one may go with the Lightstorm line is if your job is filming on-location and you need the tools to be more durable.

If I may offer a bit of advice as an audio engineer; you've treated the high frequency reflections very well with the blankets and curtains, but there's something a bit woofy in the low-end which you might want to treat as well. Bass traps in the corners of the room would be a good start, and also consider a sofa on the back wall between your C-stands and your lamp. There's a reason every recording studio has one :)

This would be perfect in the area I am in where I can easily move it out of the way like curtains. I don't need anything fancy, I am in a basement with exposed wood beams above me. VocalBoothToGo's track system is overkill. I would love to know a bit more about that if you are willing and able.

I'd love to add some Amaran lights but needing to use my phone separately is a bit of a deal breaker.

7:00 sign of the times to see a HDMI patch panel instead of an SDI panel! I love your organisation and commitment Caleb. Always top notch. Do you need to include any signal amplification or are they all just short enough? I came across some HDMI to CAT6 converters the other day which I though was interesting in enabling much further cable runs. Might be a solution for you in other setups at the opposing long end of the room - or maybe way overkill. :-)

  • @ScottJWaldron

Quite the setup! It would take a few watches to notice it all. So the ATEM Mini Pro ISO records on a USB-C SSD and that's considered a backup, but what's the main recording? Each camera's internal recording? Maybe I missed it. I guess you could record the output of the ATEM as well.
