I don't understand why people are complaining, I found the explanation to be quite good, and was actually expecting a good response from others as well

i actually got what it meant but there are things that he didn't explain at all that's why it's confusing

    Radar example
The decision: Does a fish exist under water in close proximity to the vessel? yes or no
The uncertainty: Can not see under water - must rely on afferent stimulus / visual cues from radar detection system
hit - radar detects and fish exists - Decision = yes
miss - radar doesn't detect and fish exists - decision made = no
False alarm - radar detects fish and no fish exists - Decision = yes
rejection - radar does not detect fish where no fish exists = decision = no

everyone thinks that's confusing because he didn't explain it right well the truth is he did explain correctly it's just you guys are not well educated about this topic. First, ya need to start from the beginning like signal detection theory for dummies then and you come here to watch this. thanks, sir anyway.
