      There will for sure be more Ferrers and Thiems, maybe they will be born in an era where they can win slams due to lack of competition, but it can never be said they are at Nadal’s level if they never face off

      this guy will able to be, he has fantastic skill, without any poor shot. Everything is great. He is 16 yo only... for me the best world talent. Watching now his match with Alberto Ramos with sleepy eyes when I read in draw he got wild card in Rio tournament. Really fantastic guy, tennis need this guys after big 3 era..

    The Nadal comparisons come only because he’s Spanish. Truthfully, his game style reminds me of a young Federer. His movement, aggression, and groundstrokes.

    Very nice video presentation of 16 year-old Carlos Alcaraz. He has a marvelous family and coach, that's for sure. His humility-particularly in tennis-is much appreciated. Two nice places: Murcia and (just outside) Alicante where I studied guitar in Franco's era.

      we can see him on ATP Rio (main draw) in just a few weeks, on ATP Barcelona (main draw) and on MS1000 Madrid (Qualy draw)
      it Will be interesting to check out his skills playing top 100 players... and yeah he's humble and easygoing , pretty appreciated traits for such a young guy

    oh my gosh, this is the best world talent which I have ever seen so far.. Watching his match with Ramos. Fantastic talent, fantastic.. killing backhand..great forehand, serve like 16yo, only 16yo guy...hope he will really go on year by year..

You made my day love this talented. And I think Carlos was physically up yet against no. 44 player, clay specialist :-o next big one I am pretty sure.     He needs to improve his serve. he has a good backhand and a very good forehand, and he is good at the net (which is rare in young players today), but his serve could hold him back (fortunately for him his return to serve is pretty good). Anyway, what impressed me more is his attitude on court, he can be losing clearly that he doens't surrender and keeps fighting.
    The comparissions with Nadal are absurd (even they have some things in common) because not even Nadal at his age could hold that type of comparission (Nadal was probably the most sure top player you can watch at a young age but nobody expected him to be that good outside of clay in his younger days and not even in his wildest dreams nobody expect him to dominate Roland Garros in such tiranic way)

    For those who hadn’t noticed, he has an extended-elbow forehand on contact, which only Federer, Nadal, Verdasco and Dimitrov have while everyone else bends their elbow. I think it’s the future of tennis forehands, so I’d put some money on this guy

      @@rhondacosta160 there are actually a lot of straight arm players like zverev and tsitsipas. fernandez has literally no take back on her forehand since she does not have the strength of the male players

      Latins were originally from Latium, nowadays they are called "Laziali" not latins.

    yes this guy is interesting with Kuhn (hope he will able to be better yet), coach of both is just Juan Carlos. I heard about him when he won against Hanfmann. In 15yo against player top 100. Incredible..And three sets against Rosol, Moelleker, Caruso, Sinner huh perfect thing in 15yo..two time win with Pedro Martinez. Good luck! This guy maybe new legend if he will go on. I hope this season will be better yet even if 16yo guy :) And he will be good not only clay court like Rafa or Juan Carlos

      @@sergiosanchez4940 this Carlos will be succesful on every surface I think so cause he has technical quality - killing serve, backhand, very good forehand, strong mentality. It is all about Carlos movement (going on net etc) on every single surface. But Juan Carlos was great with his movement on court - similar like Gael Monfils or italian chief Fabio Fognini, love them. they will play in their 40yo yet with this skill :) funny guys both.
