  • Lagi bang makunat ang balat ng Lechon Macua mo? Today, I will teach you kung paano maachive ang mala-chicharon na balat of your recipe with the help of Camel Appliances Mfg. Corp.'s Air Fryer!
    Ingredients:
    Set A
    1 kilo pork belly
    8-10cups water
    2 tablespoons salt
    5 pieces bay leaf
    1 tablespoon whole peppercorns
    Set B
    Salt to taste
    ¼ teaspoon baking powder
    1 tablespoon five spice powder
    Set C
    ¼ cup ginger
    ¼ cup leeks
    4 cloves garlic
    1 cup oil
    2 tablespoons fish sauce
    1 tablespoon sesame oil

    Chef nakakain ka na ba sa tang city dati sa green belt? dun ako nakakain ng lechon macau for the first time and di ko makalimutan dahil sa sawsawang suka nila. wondering lang baka alam mo kung paano gawin yung suka.

    Chef your using air fryer to avoid too much oil but you used also a large amount of oil in sauce hahahaha

      The sauce is oil based and lechon macau is oven roasted not wok roasted. Hence the air fryer is used not because he avoided the oily part.

    yung sa oil Chef, although mas preferred those na hindi mag solidify but for healthier oil I will prefer coconut or Lauric oil (not VCO) and no for vegetable oil eto yung nag papa kapal ng fats and reason mas maganda yung nag sosolidify kasi ito ang mas healthier oil just stay away from vegetable oils.. IMO :)

    when you say 200°, do you mean F or C? please clarify. i appreciate you much, chef! salamat po.😍

      It is in Celsius.
      200F is only equal to 93c which can only use when cooking/drying meringue cookies.

    Panu naging Lechon Macau ito if same lang ng ingredients ang sangkap sa pagluluto ng Lechon kawali dito? Kahit gamitan pa ng air fryer, hindi parin sya maituturing na originates sa isang lugar yung recipe na yan if same lang din naman ng ingredients sa pagluluto dito sa atin kahit ginamitan pa yan ng airfryer.. Meron dapat distinguish sa flavoring at authentic aroma or spices para masabi na sa isang particular na bayan or lugar nagmula ang isang recipe kahit kagaya ng pamamaraan ng pagluluto at sangkap sa isang putahe.. Yung side dish isn't enough din para masabi na dun nagmula yung recipe if sawsawan lang naiba heheh..

      Actually tama ka naman dun buddy. Basically crispy pata na ginamitan ng air fryer.

      5 spice lng naman ang nagdistinguish sa lechon macau dahil palagi itong ginagamit sa chinise cuisine at tsaka ang lechon macau oven roasted hindi wok. And ang Chinese cuisines more on aromatics ang preparation. basically ang prep nang lechon macau is same lng sa lechon kawali nang pinas tsaka roasted pork belly nang ibang bansa..
