Why? Because people (Sarah's fans) dub Sarah as the best when in fact it's the other way around. Why do you think she was invited to Star King, The Ellen Degeneres Show, and Oprah when she hasn't even been able to make a name for herself yet? Why do you think Charice was scouted by David Foster not Sarah when she was at the peak of her popularity and Charice was just a mere CZcams sensation? There's no denying that Charice is a way better singer than everybody else and experts reveled at that. If she hadn't come out as a lesbian, she might've been a world star by now, but no, people stopped loving the moment she stepped out of her closet and it's heartbreaking. I bet Sarah was ecstatic to see how Charice became the talk of the town and became the epitome of shame of people who once called themselves as her "fans" (narrow-minded bitches).
I say you do some compromising first before you conclude that your idol is "THE BEST" because at the end of the day, there's always someone better and more capable than her. She may be the best for you, but in terms of talent, there's no doubt that there are others who are way better. Amongst Filipino artists, Charice is the number one for me, not because she belts high notes, or for her countless accomplishments but because she sings to express and convey what she feels. She has never been greedy for fame. If she was, then she wouldn't have been able to come out of hiding and I salute her for that.

The truth is, Charice is really an amazing singer! Hindi sya nagsinungaling nang sabihin nyang hindi naman sya nagbago ng timbre ng boses. Maybe it was her chance na makagawa pa ng ibang genre ng boses nya. And, kahit pa low notes ang kinakanta nya in her past few records, eh makikita pa rin natin ang kagabdahan ng boses. I did listen to other versions of this song before and after charice had her own version. I did try also to see videos of another local artist who is always being compared to her (you know who she is). But I always come back listening to charice's. She has this special gift when singing. High or low notes, when she starts singing it's like the voice reaches and touches your heart and soul. She doesn't need a big and fabulous production, stage and musical set up to make her performance superb and stand out. Her voice alone is a bomb! Even an amateur video of her singing cannot hide her exemplary voice.
