En mi opinión, Silvestre Revueltas es a la música de México, como lo es Juan Rulfo a la literatura; algo tienen que han sido capaces de percibir el genuino espíritu nacional.
Excellent. I have the recording of the Simon Bolivar with Eduardo Mata from many, many years before and the power is the same, but this one has some nuances that are amazing to hear. I suppose that no one of the musicians recorded that version with Eduardo Mata. And as it always happens with the Simon Bolivar, their implication is top. Congratulations!
A superb performance, by far the best I've heard, of the Mexican Rite of Spring. Bravo Dudamel and Revueltas.

These guys are pretty tight but Silvestre Revueltas's grandson has an orchestra that makes a pretty good job... i think they are pretty close both as good as the original piece
Revueltas era de Durango. La obra trata sobre un poema de Nicolás Guillén que era cubano. En esta obra hay elemento de las percusiones afrocubanas pero es una obra mexicana. Quizá la esté confundiendo con La noche de los mayas.
