Welcome and congrats on being a new ReVeluv, it's understandable that you'll be having a hard time picking a bias, because you can't go wrong with anyone of them. I just want to mentioned that it's a crime that they aren't as big and popular in the West like their 3rd Gen Big 3 counterparts, Blackpink and Twice.
Oh, yes, the torture is real... For all that this video shows, it has many reasons to have Wendy as an Ult Bias but it did not show everything (this video could be hours long if it did). When she had her accident (late December 2019), she actually could have died if she had not been found. Wendy had been knocked unconscious from a fall of about 8 feet / 2.5 meters or so. She suffered a concussion and broken cheek bone, which could have ended her career as a singer if medical professionals could not have fixed it properly. She was apparently missing for a few minutes before she was found (THANK YOU, Mamamoo SOLAR!!!). If it had been much longer, it could have been much worse. Details we got are sketchy; she had either 1) a broken hip or 2) broke her PELVIS, which would have been SO MUCH WORSE of a break than 'just' a broken hip! Apparently breaking the Pelvis is one of THE WORST pains ever, coming in Third Place behind losing an Eye and having a broken hand! Probably a good thing that she was unconscious. If it was a broken pelvis, that could have paralyzed her, depending on where the break was located. A broken hip is not nearly as serious in a young person but Wendy still had to re-learn how to walk. Then she had to train all over again in order to get back into shape in order to be able to take the stage. She also had a broken wrist but that is really an afterthought compared to her other injuries. I bet she still feels all these breaks during cold weather. It took Wendy over a year to come back (and we fans who had NO IDEA about anything were WORRIED for her!) but I don't blame her at all for taking so long. I am just SO HAPPY that she came back and I am happy that she is okay and is thriving! NGL, I cried when her album dropped. Wendy is my Ult Bias BECAUSE she came back at all (the Like Water album, April 2021, was her Comeback and her Solo debut). She did not HAVE to come back; she could have retired, she could have done anything else she wanted to do with her life with those brains of hers. She got back in the horse. She did that because she LOVES the fans. That is my biggest reason why she is my Ult (plus everything in this video and more).
Her official injuries were a broken pelvis, a broken wrist, and a cracked cheekbone. She had her jaw wired shut for over a month, but the worst injury was her pelvis, which is why it was 10 months before we even saw her publicly again.
Same, she’s my ult bias out of all the groups I stan and I was there during her healing process I was so happy when she was in the ot5 picture but with her face blocked with the smiley face
If harmonies are your jam, I'll bet Mamamoo will be just as appealing. The members of both groups are all friends, and occasionally collab, especially Seulgi and Moonbyul
I'm first introduced to Red Velvet through Joy's We Got Married tv show so she was automatically my bias but choosing one really doesn't matter because after a while I get wrecked by all members starting from Irene as the bias wrecker. Now I'm OT5, can't really stick with just one bias haha because every comeback and performances reminds me just how much talented and gorgeous the ladies are! I love them all
My top favourite groups are Dreamcatcher, Exo and Red Velvet and I can tell you, you don't choose your bias, your bias chooses you. Also, Koreans pretending they can't understand English unless it's spoken with a Korean accent will never not be funny to me 😂
Red Velvet is like one of the most famous yet one of the most under appreciated groups imo. They deserve so much more😩
