  • Learn why believing in God’s Word is NOT irrational, despite what skeptics will tell you. In this video, Simon Turpin dives into 2 Peter 3 to teach us about the scoffers of creation and the flood, and why they’re wrong.

"Believing Noah’s Flood Actually Happened Is NOT Irrational" - where promoters of a religion-based pseudoscience engage in the rhetorical charade of trying to pretend that deliberately ignoring all of the results of geological science, geophysics, astronomy, astrophysics, archaeology, and ancient history for the last two hundred years is "NOT irrational."
Uh... Yes, that pseudoscience attitude isn't just irrational, it's literally a deliberate embracing of irrational thinking.
Indeed, right there on the "Statement of Faith" (religious faith, not science) page on the "Answers In Genesis" (Genesis - religious stories in a religious book, not science) young earth creationism pseudoscience religious organization, we read the following: "No apparent, perceived, or claimed evidence in any field of study, including science, history, and chronology, can be valid if it contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture obtained by historical-grammatical interpretation."
So they have their particular fundamentalist Christian interpretation of some religious stories in a religious book (not science), an interpretation that is rejected by the vast majority of Christians around the world, and they're going to deliberately and arbitrarily ignore any and all scientific facts that contradict their particular religious dogma.
That pseudoscience attitude isn't just irrational, it's making the irrational denial of facts one of the core principles of your mindset and building your entire pseudoscience framework on it.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on the development of evolution. Lyell's letter to the MP seems, at least to me, reminiscent to C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters", the minister being the character of "Wormwood". It's too bad that the audio on the video could not be coherent enough to use. Dawkins is so "two-dimensional in his thinking. Of course I harken back to"Flatland, a Romance Between Two Dimensions".

This ridiculous boat model proves nothing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. In order to prove the story of Noah you need to do it correctly and FINISH THE JOB -- in other words, build an ark that ACTUALLY floats, then go around and ACTUALLY collect 2 of every animal species on earth, then ACTUALLY load them on the ark, then ACTUALLY put the ark in the water, and then actually keep the animals fed and watered for 40 days. Maybe when you can ACTUALLY recreate the ENTIRE story, then I might start to believe but this silly amusement parks proves JACK.
