The Dawn Spray makes me cough also. I really miss the way Dawn used to smell like when it first came out in the 70's. It's hard to describe, but it I liked it. It reminded me of Home Economics class in Junior High, because that's what we used.

The target clear dish soap cleans well. The power wash gets into the air and you inhale it. That's what makes you cough.
I'm glad you put this out. I thought I wash crazy. The regular Dawn never made my pans stink, but this new one does.
I thought I was going crazy too! It does not clean as well and lingers in my waterbottles forever.
The cleaning ability of the original Dawn has changed over the years. I’ve not tried it yet but several people swear that the Walmart version of the dish soap smells and cleans comparable to the way that original Dawn did.
I seen to use more than I use too, it is not the same soapy Dawn, my daughter notice difference too.
I thought I was alone - the new clean scent one is way less effective. It scent isn’t strong but it makes us all sneeze while using it.
I only care about the power to clean. If they change that and it gets weaker, then I’ll move on to find something better. 😊

I compared the new one to an old one in my stockpile - the new one is a somewhat stronger more chemical-y scent to my nose. Not sure I would have noticed the change right away, but I am sensitive to scents so it’s a PASS for me.
I’ve been wondering why my dishes haven’t t been getting as clean as they usually do. I didn’t even know this was a thing!! It’s true, the smell it leaves on your dishes is strong and very different. I can taste it in my plastic cups, how aweful!!!
I haven't tried the new one but I'm super sensitive to scents so I'm not messing with that. eek.
I have both the new version and the old one I didn’t notice the difference, also I did purchase two bottles of the Walgreens brand the bottle reads comparable to dawn and I love it no different than Dawn and it’s cheaper at a $1.99😊

I usually use these for treating greasy stains on my kids' clothes--- gets them off and does not ruin their clothes. Sooooo, I would be really upset if they changed their formula and it no longer would work on laundry stains
I love the original blue Dawn. It is my cleaner of choice that I reach for first. I wonder if that is why they sold them at 4/$16 recently. I think that I will make a large purchase of these with some Walgreens Cash.
Kirkland dishwashing liquid is a good solution. I like to buy the big jugs so save money

I make dawn power wash ( why wouldn’t I?? Less than $1.
2 ounces alcohol
3 ounces dawn
11 ounces of water
Put it in one of those bottles.
Anyway… it used to smell different than the dawn power wash that you would buy at the store. Now it smells the same.
I also add 1TBSP OF 90% alcohol

@@MJ-vc6ih I read the back too. There doesn’t appear to be any vinegar in it…. You never know though. I love vinegar… I wash with it.
My wife noticed the awful smell first. We hate it. It lingers for a very loooooong time on our dishes and hands. We are returning our two bottles to Costco and won’t be buying Dawn again until they return to the original more subtle scent.
I just got the spray wash with that new scent and yes u can smell it. It still works fine to me. I got mine at Costco.
I am a fan of the Dawn dish soap. If it can clean the oil from spills off the wildlife without harming them, then I will support it. I also get the power spraying in my throat and cough. 😃😃😃
I bought it not even thinking that they changed it well they did it’s not thick and watered down yes ultra is the original one 👍🏻

It smells more like the Gain dish soap, which I don’t like. I don’t want to wash dishes & have them smelling like my fresh laundry. Also, has anyone else noticed: the smaller bottles of Dawn went from 22 ounce to 17 ounce….what the…!!???!!

Ok RK, I just went to the stockpile and checked. I think there is a difference in smell. Personally I think the new one smells better. I use the green one and get the blue one for family.
I noticed it. Everyone keeps saying they use dawn for everything. Well it doesn’t work for me anymore.

I noticed the difference in smell, before I noticed the "New scent" sticker. But I don't notice a difference in the cleaning and the smell is nice. I also get choked up some with the spray.

In my opinion it works good like the original but the scent for the power wash and platinum I can not stand either.
The new blue scent is offensive to me. The apple is fine.
I used to use the Dawn Power Wash at work AND IT WOULD MAKE ME COUGH ALSO ... because of the noxious smell, have chosen NOT TO USE IT at home !!!
it works so well, to wash down pans or air fryer tho

The new scent has to much perfume. I can't use any of there scents it gives me a headache and now this new scent does.. guess I'll have to change dish soap.

I just saw that sticker a couple of days ago and smelled it .. I didn't notice any difference at all. These companies just need to stop already. Leave some classics alone- blue dawn first and foremost.

any antibacterial soap can be used to wash hands, if you look label it also says "dishwashing liquid"

Switched to kirkland new brand. Much better. Works just as well made y german company. New scent smells like rotting fruit. You likely haven't got the new scent.
They have lost me as a customer unless they bring the old stuff back. It has a flowery lemon scent not the old scent. It stinks!
Hate the new scent . So strong and perfume smell. Smell also lingers yuck! threw away. Bought another brand

Dislike the new scent so much. I'm throwing it out. If I can't find original ill be looking for new brand. This new one smells like ozinator smell and gives me a headache. I've been using dawn yep 40 yrs. This scent is enough to make me change manufacturer. Dawn needs to own up and fix this or lose business. So greatful my other ones under the sink are not new scent whew got lucky there. Dawn needs to send the new scent ones to the dollar store 😮😮 oh and it leaves strange residue on hands .
