Great video David. I have an x/19 only 29000 miles from new. I bought in 2009. It’s been in my garage for 4 years . I have only just started to use it again. It needs a good service. I’m not a mechanic but I am very hands on. I like videos like yours, no nonsense, just straight to the point with a sprinkle of humour, you learn a lot and keeps it interesting. Please continue as they are not only very informative but a joy to watch and I like your shed. Thank you

Oh dear, still, you are on the right track now, think about getting the electronic ignition I show. A huge difference.

David great video and very helpful and informative. I just took my very old and dirty Weber 32/34 DMTL of my 1988 defender and stupidly didn’t take note of the yet orders. Do you mind sharing what the manual suggests they should be. I’d love to try them in your order vs manual and see which works best for me

With the petrol inlet on the left and choke on the right my jets are: 0.70 1.30 1.07 0.47

@@davidmoult5770 ah dam, I was hoping DMTL would be the same. My jets have 52 and 60 on the other two. Guess I’ll have to hunt down the manual

I have a 1500, I have a note of the jet sizes some where but for a start swap the idle jets around and see what happens. The book is wrong.

Thank you for a very useful video. What manual are you using in the video with the exploded view of the carburetor? Regards Steffan
