Hi Donna, I really want to make this bag, but would prefer to use the written pattern. The link you posted above only gives the houndstooth stitch pattern. I have tried several avenues to get to a written pattern, but the same houndstooth pattern comes up. However, if you cannot , I will follow the video. I do appreciate your work hugely.

I finished this bag tonight and I love it! Made it withwhite chunky t-shirt yarn, the same black handles you used, and a black button. (I actually started last summer but put it aside for a couple of other big projects). I used the plastic liner you used and stitched it to the inside of the bag to keep in place. Then, I used a really nice black and white polka dot fabric (the dots are slightly different sizes but rather small). I'm so excited to use it when we hit springtime! Thanks for a great pattern and for answering my Q last summer, too.
this is the easiest Channel by far and I am glad I came across it. I am a beginner and only started crocheting last week and I am already obsessed all thanks to your easy video.

Hi Donna, Thanks for this great pattern. I made this using Lion Brand Hometown Yarn and it turned out really well and sturdy. Had a hard time finding the Craft Tee yarn, would have preferred that. The felt lining is a great idea as well! Thanks much for the video, very helpful☺

Don't know if you check for comments 3 years after the fact, but I figured I'd ask. Do you affix the stabilizing items? In particularly a folder cut to size to fit bottom & 2 sides? Do you sew them in? Glue them? or just leave them free moving before putting liner? I hope this question makes sense. Thank you.

Your bag looks wonderful and I’d love to make it. A couple of questions, please
1. What size are the handles? Length-wise please
2. What are the dimensions of the bag? Your idea of a felt liner sounds doable but I’m needing the sizing in order to be able to order the felt online. Would 20 x 20 cm be enough to cut 1 strip and see it in or would it be better to buy 30 x 20 cm?
