Hi Mia! Stories work the same way where you can autopublish them just by uploading your media. Hello! So unfortunately the audio libraries from the respective social platforms are not available to 3rd party tools due to an API limitation. :( You can post with an original sound or you can choose to "manually publish" meaning that you would set up push notifications and then at the time of posting, you would get that notification and be taken to the app to copy the text and the media to be downloaded. Then you could go in to your social platform and add that audio as a finishing touch!
As a Digital agency owner this app saves me a ton of time when it comes to scheduling and planning, however, I don't see an option to add audio to Instagram or tik tok? Audio is wildly important and we don't want to miss that mark with our clients

Since the free plan has a limit of 50 scheduled posts per month, 1. Will "Publish Now" posts also consume the 50 posts/m credit or will only Scheduled posts use that credit limit and you can post as many "Publish Now" posts as you want per month? 2. Yay! We are glad to help. :) As for music, 3rd party platforms do not have access to sounds via API limitations. You can however upload your short-form content with the sound already attached. :) If you are looking to add a sound to one singular post on let's say Instagram, that would require you to publish with a push notification so you could go in and add those finishing touches at the time of publication. :)
Instagram has added a new feature to select CATEGORY FOR REELS before uploading! I am buying your paid plan! Hope you add it soon ! Otherwise will have to shift to other platform!

Also, when I scheduled my posts, I scheduled it for Instagram and Facebook. Is there a way to delete the pending Facebook posts in bulk? I decided I want to post something different on Facebook. Hello! So unfortunately 3rd party tools do not have access to the Instagram sound library. There are a few workarounds. The first one, you can import the content into the planner with the sound already attached to your video. If it is a popular song/sound, Instagram will usually detect it once the post goes live and add it to the corresponding audio page. However, this isn't an 100% guarantee. Option 2 is to schedule with manual publishing. When scheduling, toggle off auto publish and set up push notifications. At the time of the post going live, you will get a push notification for the app or an email, where you can download the content straight to your phone and then publish manually in the app and add in any finishing touches.

Hello! Yes, you can tag on different platforms such as Twitter (X) and Facebook. For LinkedIn, it must be a business page, personal accounts cannot be tagged.

I also just learned that it is impossible to associate a trending sound to the video during the scheduling process (i.e., while inside the planner). However you can always set your posts to push notifications and add in the trending sound as a finishing touch or upload with the sound already attached and IG will often recognize and add it to the sound page.

For example, would I be finding scheduled tiktoks under my "drafts" folder (or IG: "Scheduled Content" folder)? If the planner "prepares" all of my posts, I could manually access those drafts and add the sounds ahead of time, then they will be automatically posted as scheduled? I am not sure if this might mess up anything else if I intervene .

Hi sunsetlabs! You cannot currently edit by network with autolists. With autolists, you will have to designate what platforms you'd like at the top when setting up! If there are different parameters, you'd probably want to set up different autolists. You can also upload via CSV file to make that process a bit quicker!
Hello! If you accidentally post, you will need to go to the native platform and delete it. If the post hasn't gone out yet, then you are able to delete it within the Planner. ☺
Hi, thanks for the content. I've just signed up for the platform and am looking forward to using it. But I have a question. If you create a reel in IG, when you download without posting, you can't keep the audio. The only way I can see to upload a full reel to Metricool to post to IG, FB, CZcams Shorts and Linkedin, is to edit the video in an external editor - whereby not accessing any of the trending sounds etc. What platform and process do you recommend for creating and downloading the reel before uploading to Metricool for scheduling? Please help! I can't find the answer to this anywhere. Thanks so much! Amy
Hi Amy! There are a few different ways you can do it. We typically edit in CapCut as our preferred external editor or we start in TikTok and then repurpose to the other platforms. IG is great at automatically detecting sounds so we find it easiest to repurpose there. If you would like to directly pull the trending sounds from the native platform, you can also schedule with a push notification. So that the video is scheduled and all you would need to do is go in and do the final posting and add the sound in. :)
Does Metricool have client approval? That’s the one thing that is keeping me from jumping ship. My current software lets me send approval links to my clients prior to scheduling posts.
I am having an issue when posting my reels... when scheduled on Metricool, the thumnail created does not center my face correctly and usually incorporates a coloured block at the top of my reel's thumnail ruining the aesthetic... do you have any advice on how to fix it
We had them pasted in for the example but you can add the caption right in the planner for Reels! As for stories, since they do not have captions, you would need to use the photo editor to add text to your story graphic. You can also upload the story into the planner with the text already added in. ☺️

Hello! Thank you for your question. :) Unfortunately, this has to do with what sounds are available within each platform and it doesn't notify you beforehand. Many times you can appeal the decision if it's a song. Otherwise, we find a lot of people will upload trending sounds that are not necessarily exactly duplicates of songs etc.
Love the tutorial. I do have the free plan & using it and can't figure out how to get the free pro trial - how do I do this? I do not want to have to do the credit card thing yet.
Hello! Thank you :) When you go to hit Upgrade, there will be an option to use a discount code. You will be prompted to input credit card information but the code applied will not charge you. We recommend setting a reminder so that if you do choose to cancel after the trial period, you avoid a charge. :)

Thanks for the great video! I am having trouble inserting direct links in my instagram story using your planner. I have tried to use "Stickers". Is it a feature that is missing or am I doing something wrong.
Hello! You're welcome. We are glad to help. :) Unfortunately, Sticker functionality isn't available on our platform due to the platform API rules. If you would like to add a direct link, you would need to schedule manually with a push notification to add the link finishing touch in the direct app.
You can actually choose a frame right within Metricool for TikTok and IG Reels! Click the 3 dots and you find the option there. For CZcams, ours will also default to random. We do sometimes post manually from the app and that allows us to choose. But with CZcams shorts as most people scroll rather than go directly to our shorts page, we don't worry too much about the cover.
Does anyone know if there is a work around for posting videos with trending music as shorts to youtube and reels to facebook? Currently I can do it for instagram and tiktok because there is a manual publish feature.. but there is none on youtube or facebook so my posts get uploaded as silent videos... if anyone knows I appreciate your advice!!
Hello! Our recommendation is to set it to manual under an IG post or reel type and then when you get your push notification, simply take the copied text and downloaded content and post it to your desired platform. We know it's not a perfect solution and we hope to be able to add manual publishing options in the future!
So this is currently a limitation we have via TikTok because they haven't opened up their sound library to 3rd party tools. We have the option to add a random sound if you click into the TikTok presets when scheduling picture posts. But you won't be able to actually choose your own song!

Is it possible to tag/hyperlink names/companies in the post description? I didn't see a way to do this or might be missing it. I have to do it after the fact it seems. Also, I posted a video and for some reason the thumbnail was different when posted. Can that be changed? Thanks!!
Yes you can! Depending on the platform, for things like FB and LinkedIn, typing in the @ and then the name should work and it will pop up the page/person. Just make sure you're typing it in as close as possible so it can auto-populate the correct one. For IG, it won't hyperlink in the planner but will once it's posted so long as the handle is correct.

Thank you! So if you had 5 different IG accounts, they would be separated by brand! You would need to toggle into each individual brand. Our free version allows for 1 brand! So for example, you could connect 1 FB, 1 IG, 1 Pinterest, 1 X under a free account. :)

It would be so much more convenient to upload photos, videos from google photos. I use canva, hate your app, so my stuff is on gphotos and android gallery. I then have to transfer them to desktop which is hugely inconvenient. OR am I missing something?
We have an integration with Canva but it is on desktop. :) You can transfer your photos to the planner directly from their site. Stay tuned as we have an update coming soon that may be beneficial for you regarding photos!

This is the only message I got when I try uploading it thru CSV. "Some posts seem to have errors. Note that posts with errors will be imported as draft. If the post date is invalid, it will be scheduled today at current time."
Is there a way to be able to tag people on Twitter posts with video? When I try to tag on my tweets with video it says something along the lines of 'make sure there is an image in the first slot' Which is great for static images of course, but a significant part of my Twitter posts are videos VS images
Hi Tia! So with the API permissions, we can only tag images on 3rd party tools. Our workaround is that you can @ them in the actual tweet! We hope that the tagging will be allowed for video in the future. :)

For auto-generated captions, you'll want to add that in from an external editor! Or you can schedule manually, and use the push notification option to add them in as a finishing touch at the time of posting on the native app. :)

Yes! You can find that within the photo editor. You can change the ratio and we also have some of the most popular ones already included as presets. 🤩

Hello! So unfortunately 3rd party tools do not have access to the Instagram sound library. There are a few workarounds. The first one, you can import the content into the planner with the sound already attached to your video. If it is a popular song/sound, Instagram will usually detect it once the post goes live and add it to the corresponding audio page. However, this isn't an 100% guarantee. Option 2 is to schedule with manual publishing. When scheduling, toggle off auto publish and set up push notifications. At the time of the post going live, you will get a push notification for the app or an email, where you can download the content straight to your phone and then publish manually in the app and add in any finishing touches.

We hope they allow this in the near future. 😭 A workaround is scheduling it manually in the planner so at the time of posting you get a push notification to download the content to your phone or computer and then you add the sound in as a finishing touch in the native app.

Hello! Yes, you can tag on different platforms such as Twitter (X) and Facebook. For LinkedIn, it must be a business page, personal accounts cannot be tagged.

I also just learned that it is impossible to associate a trending sound to the video during the scheduling process (i.e., while inside the planner). @@ilovemyprs for trending sounds, 3rd party platforms are unable to have this functionality via the META/TikTok APIs. We hope this can be something that will be allowed in the future. However you can always set your posts to push notifications and add in the trending sound as a finishing touch or upload with the sound already attached and IG will often recognize and add it to the sound page.

For example, would I be finding scheduled tiktoks under my "drafts" folder (or IG: "Scheduled Content" folder)?
If the planner "prepares" all of my posts, I could manually access those drafts and add the sounds ahead of time, then they will be automatically posted as scheduled?

Hi sunsetlabs! You cannot currently edit by network with autolists. With autolists, you will have to designate what platforms you'd like at the top when setting up! If there are different parameters, you'd probably want to set up different autolists. You can also upload via CSV file to make that process a bit quicker!

Hello! If you accidentally post, you will need to go to the native platform and delete it. If the post hasn't gone out yet, then you are able to delete it within the Planner. ☺

Hi, thanks for the content. I've just signed up for the platform and am looking forward to using it. But I have a question. If you create a reel in IG, when you download without posting, you can't keep the audio. The only way I can see to upload a full reel to Metricool to post to IG, FB, CZcams Shorts and Linkedin, is to edit the video in an external editor - whereby not accessing any of the trending sounds etc. What platform and process do you recommend for creating and downloading the reel before uploading to Metricool for scheduling? Please help! I can't find the answer to this anywhere. Thanks so much! Amy
Hi Amy! There are a few different ways you can do it. We typically edit in CapCut as our preferred external editor or we start in TikTok and then repurpose to the other platforms. IG is great at automatically detecting sounds so we find it easiest to repurpose there. If you would like to directly pull the trending sounds from the native platform, you can also schedule with a push notification. So that the video is scheduled and all you would need to do is go in and do the final posting and add the sound in. :)

Does Metricool have client approval? That’s the one thing that is keeping me from jumping ship. My current software lets me send approval links to my clients prior to scheduling posts.

I am having an issue when posting my reels... when scheduled on Metricool, the thumnail created does not center my face correctly and usually incorporates a coloured block at the top of my reel's thumnail ruining the aesthetic... do you have any advice on how to fix it
We had them pasted in for the example but you can add the caption right in the planner for Reels! As for stories, since they do not have captions, you would need to use the photo editor to add text to your story graphic. You can also upload the story into the planner with the text already added in. ☺️

Hello! Thank you for your question. :) Unfortunately, this has to do with what sounds are available within each platform and it doesn't notify you beforehand. Many times you can appeal the decision if it's a song. Otherwise, we find a lot of people will upload trending sounds that are not necessarily exactly duplicates of songs etc.

Hello! Thank you :) When you go to hit Upgrade, there will be an option to use a discount code. You will be prompted to input credit card information but the code applied will not charge you. We recommend setting a reminder so that if you do choose to cancel after the trial period, you avoid a charge. :)

how did you do to have a nice preview on each social media plateform for the reels ? On mine, youtube always choose the worst time
You can actually choose a frame right within Metricool for TikTok and IG Reels! Click the 3 dots and you find the option there. For CZcams, ours will also default to random. We do sometimes post manually from the app and that allows us to choose. But with CZcams shorts as most people scroll rather than go directly to our shorts page, we don't worry too much about the cover.

Hello! Our recommendation is to set it to manual under an IG post or reel type and then when you get your push notification, simply take the copied text and downloaded content and post it to your desired platform. We know it's not a perfect solution and we hope to be able to add manual publishing options in the future!

Just a small question, how do I add music if I want to schedule picture posts on tiktok
So this is currently a limitation we have via TikTok because they haven't opened up their sound library to 3rd party tools. We have the option to add a random sound if you click into the TikTok presets when scheduling picture posts. But you won't be able to actually choose your own song!
We hope they will change this in the future!

Is it possible to tag/hyperlink names/companies in the post description? I didn't see a way to do this or might be missing it. I have to do it after the fact it seems. Also, I posted a video and for some reason the thumbnail was different when posted. Can that be changed? Thanks!!
Yes you can! Depending on the platform, for things like FB and LinkedIn, typing in the @ and then the name should work and it will pop up the page/person. Just make sure you're typing it in as close as possible so it can auto-populate the correct one. For IG, it won't hyperlink in the planner but will once it's posted so long as the handle is correct.

Great review. Are you able to schedule posts for multiple accounts on the same platform; e.g. 5 different IG accounts? Could this be done on the free version?
Thank you! So if you had 5 different IG accounts, they would be separated by brand! You would need to toggle into each individual brand. Our free version allows for 1 brand! So for example, you could connect 1 FB, 1 IG, 1 Pinterest, 1 X under a free account. :)

Hello! It is possible to upload both video and photo in a single IG post 🤩 However for FB, it is an API limitation and only allows for one type of media file to be shared at a time.

It would be so much more convenient to upload photos, videos from google photos. I use canva, hate your app, so my stuff is on gphotos and android gallery. I then have to transfer them to desktop which is hugely inconvenient. OR am I missing something?
We have an integration with Canva but it is on desktop. :) You can transfer your photos to the planner directly from their site. Stay tuned as we have an update coming soon that may be beneficial for you regarding photos!

This is the only message I got when I try uploading it thru CSV.
"Some posts seem to have errors. Note that posts with errors will be imported as draft. If the post date is invalid, it will be scheduled today at current time."

You can select a frame from your video for TikTok. Click the three dots once you have uploaded your video and the option should appear there 😁

When I try to tag on my tweets with video it says something along the lines of 'make sure there is an image in the first slot'
Which is great for static images of course, but a significant part of my Twitter posts are videos VS images
Hi Tia! So with the API permissions, we can only tag images on 3rd party tools. Our workaround is that you can @ them in the actual tweet! We hope that the tagging will be allowed for video in the future. :)

Hello! This is not currently possible with the Instagram API. Our suggestion is to set a push notification so that you can still semi-schedule but just add in those finishing touches like a collaboration or audio. ☺️
