I love how Zakir didn't even try to change his accent and kept it as it is. Although we aren't familiar with Zakir speaking in English, it didn't feel like a different language at all. The calmness he brings to the conversation makes you comfortable and resonates with you the same as when he speaks Hindi.
Just 10 mins in the podcast and I am already loving it.

Babu thoda aur suna karo Zakir bhai ko, He is speaking with an accent here, way more than usual but that's cool yo, No issues. It's just a language, it's just a medium, It's like the phrase "when in Rome, do as Romans do". Just want to say ki andhbhakti Modiji tak rakehin, apne bhai ko kripiya involve na karein usme, I love him a lot too but ye chutiyap mat karo bc andhbhakti wale.

Kitna accent try kiya bhai ne. Kraazyyy😂. But realised half way its not working out and switched back to his regular accent.
It was sounding so fake up until his random rant. He probably took a step back after realising how hampering that fake accent was to his thought process.

This guy Zakir Khan is a genuinely intellectual person. The command he has over Urdu, Hindi and now even on English languages is marvellous. And over all this he is a proud Indian. The pride he takes in calling himself Indian and the way he projects India is just another level..love you buddy

Even when talking about prickly issues and difficult situations his language doesn’t lose its warmth. He doesn’t disrespect and won’t take for disrespect from others. Just love him for that.

It’s a sad reality, my dad is Indian, mom’s more Italian/white and when I was in Paris in 2010, I was in high school and this hostess at a hotel in Paris made fun of my dad behind his back as soon as he turned his back, my dad didn’t care. But that scarred me for life.
I am a doctor now and my dad is a retired diplomat, he was nothing less but he was just humble and he never showed off. But that lady treated him horribly. I feel like someone like that white French lady needs to see the world more.
Well trust me when I say this.. it is this we Indian have a super power.. to not give f##k of anyone until we want to.. the day we want to put someone in their place we have a deep knowledge and skills for a healthy transfer of some unforgivable debate.. that you won't even know what hit you.. by you I mean the so called supremacist .. we care about our family more than ourselves.. we choose to be good never forced to be good..

As an Indian who was born and raised in Iran, and a fan of both Zakir and Max, it felt so good seeing these two having a conversation. That part where Zakir said fans think their favorite comedians are all friends, so in the fans minds its special seeing thier favorites come together, that was relatable. Didn't feel like an hour long podcast, it went by so quick.
How were you born a d raised in Iran?
I have seen him live on my birthday last year. Man he is amazing! His set was two and a half hour long and not a minute felt forced. He is such a gem. He feels like one of us. We are so proud of you Zakir bhai.

How is it that this man makes sense and grips the attention of listener every time he opens his mouth to talk? I wasn't even interested in the creative process of stand up comedy but Zakir had me watching this until the end. He can talk all day and I will listen all day. Honestly the magic gets better if you watch a show in person. His stage presence is just mind blowing. Best stand up comedian of India no doubt.

This is the true jugalabandi of an Indian and an Iranian which existed and lived together for thousands of years before islamisation of the Iranian land. Zoroastrianism was sister religion to hinduism and even our calendars are still similar, that is the root of Iranian spiritualism. Thank you Zakir bhai and Max for this wonderful conversation.

I remember an incident where I was sitting in the airport waiting area with my luggage. An older white woman, who seemed very twitchy and kept jogging up and down the stairs, came near me. She looked at me, kicked my bag, and gestured for me to move it away. I felt extremely embarrassed, thinking everyone was watching me, and I went numb. I'm not sure if it was a racist encounter, but it left me feeling very uncomfortable and uncertain.
