I love how it puttered to life like an antique engine with a 1 meter flywheel, poor thing could barely start up lmao you should do this with a v8... Maybe from slightly farther away lmao
@Brett Collins my guy have you not seen the meme? It originated from a video of these two twins, who are supposedly INCREDIBLY stupid, who were answering very easy questions in a TikTok video. A question came up that read “Who painted the Mona Lisa?” and their answer was “Mona Lisa”, then when it came up with the answer they both said in an extremely confused tone “DA VINKY?” I like your idea of a quadcopter though, it would prove very difficult to accurately control four, independent, ANCIENT engines
@Brett Collins Well since you appear to live under a rock: TikTok is a Chinese video-sharing social networking service that has been operating since 2017 in countries outside of China. I personally don’t use it as I don’t really like social media and it was revealed that TikTok swipes clipboard data whenever the punctuation button is pressed. Some of the more popular videos tend to make their way to CZcams though, hence me knowing of this one particularly popular clip. Look up “who painted the Mona Lisa?” on CZcams
@Brett Collins India is actually the biggest user of TikTok with 190m downloads by 2019, followed by the USA with 41m. China doesn’t actually make it into the top 5.
I think a radio controlled helicopter with a LADA engine is a must...there are thousands of RC helicopter pilots around this little blue planet that could make it happen ❤️ if they were to work together to help Garage 54
When I saw the thumbnail I thought a new Whistlin Diesel video was out 😆 but then I remembered that garage54 is the OG strange hilarious video channel.
After seeing that engine at 7:50 you guys should try make a helicopter out of it. Just replace the spokes with blades, take off the outer rim and see what happens
The blades move that's how the helicopter changes rotation... actually if they can make a 7 liter Lada and a Cybertruck I'm sure that making a helicopter will be a cake walk
Man I love yalls videos. They are always entertaining. The experiments Team Garage 54 always always has amazing scientific revelations. Keep up the excellent videos Team Garage 54. Thanx For Sharing
I'd love to build one of these myself, mount it to the back of a shopping trolley, and once quit time at my job comes I can just jump into the cart and ride through the factory with my co-workers, then people on the street in shock as I ride down the highway in a self propelled shopping trolley!
Might be able to add ballast to the front and back of the engine to keep it from rotating. Also two centrifugal clutches at the wheels would make it easier to fire up.
5:29 This feels like Vlads running of the mechanical bulls. That 1.3L needs handlebars drilled rims, a 6kg ballast slung by chain underneath and rubberised bumpers in place of horns.
To turn it on, instead of hanging it on a cable, I could make a system like the one that lifts F1 cars forward. On the other hand, what a crazy idea eh, it never occurred to me that someone was going to build something like that xD
Hey Garage 54! Try purging air out of Lada engine crank case and replacing it with pure oxygen. Leave enough oil in to create a mist before seizing. At the first spark there should be fireworks, although you might have to try this in a remote area and stand behind a bunker.
Prototype for Russia's version of self-driving vehicles. The destination is strictly determined by the level of fuel in the tank, keeping it simple. Wanna go farther? Pour more fuel.
This is how pretty much how ALL inventions happened, someone had an idea out of th usual and tried it. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't!! You can learn more from a mistake than from a success.
Need a third wheel to balance and keep the motor up. And a gear box to lower revs and get more torque to handle the weight. And a way to raise the revs remotely to get more power.
At 900 RPM (typical idle) and 1.4 m diameter wheels, this would have to travel 237 km/h :).
Thank you 😂🙌
Edit: that's 147 mph, for mericans and racing enthusiasts lol
Jesus christ!
WOAH
And that is why this will never work without gearing
I just broke my tooth on a walnut... ow!
"we secured it with a bit of electrical tape"
Yeah spot the grammar error. You can't put "secure" and "electrical tape" in the same sentence.
@@skuula Why? Electrical tape, rubber hammer and WD40 fix everithing :D

flex tape but cheaper
Electrical tape for a mechanical device? Haha

I've been watching these guys for 2 years now, and they still haven't disappointed me once.
Good job I guess...
Fucking for real Andre they’re amazing

I'm impressed they haven't run out of crazy shit to try.
You should try to make an Helicopter from a Lada's engine.
DEFINITIELY WE NEED LADA HELI
@@but_je_rycha912 ladacopter
You're a genius
seems like a better idea tbh
One Lada engine isn't enough for a Heli...
Maybe they should use 5?
Needs like a reduction ratio to make it drivable but I think it's amazing and funny lol
Or more weight in the bottom
A huge reduction will be necessary, this thing is nuts the way it is.
Well, there's your problem right there, they used electrical instead of duct tape. Lol
tape is tape
Looking dangerously close to the tzar tank
That was come in my mind first as I saw the index image :D

The mad lads have outdone themselves with this one!
Nothing as exciting as hearing the sound of the engine starting up in the shop when you were testing it!
Everytime I watch a garage 54 video, it makes me want to go work for them.

Hey Leonardo DaVinciski, build a quadcopter with four of them!

Build a cage around the engine. Add a shaft to both wheels and belt or chain to the axle and the motor And a 3rd rear wheel to keep it up right.
Best wishes from the uk
You guys have alot of imagination great my friends
This was a fun one, Vlad had me laughing multiple times
Might be able to add ballast to the front and back of the engine to keep it from rotating.

7:22 Fires it up again without installing a shut-off.
You would have to launch it "bowling style" so that the initial friction-to-ground doesn't kill the engine.
why at the end of the video there is only black for two minutes?
To make money you need at least ten minutes
Part of the video is missing
@@99_friety nah it’s only 8 minutes now I think they changed it recently

"It sped up" - no it's just trying to reach idle. With that big ass flywheel it would probably take a few minutes to reach 1k rpm lol

When it was sitting on its size it reminded me of zombie traps from Half Life 2. The difference was that game prop had huge blade instead of a wheel.

ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!! 😂😂😂😂
They should make a home made helicopter. After seeing the one wheel spinning I thought this would be a good idea.

Top 10 anime car shows. Number one, wagon midnight
good start for a new chopper

Counter weight on the bottom of the motor. Probably need 100 lbs. then push start it. Laughed through the whole thing. 👍👍

Needs a counterweight so it doesn't just spin itself around the center...
Also some reduction gears might help
Attach helicopter blades next episode to make it go even faster.

This will newer work without a gearbox

Next episode: the fist Lada quad-copter.
Weld the wheels together. Or bolt them together if thats easier to transport. So the engine is in kind a barrel...if you know what i mean?
5:36 i thought my dog started barking xdd
PS Greetings from Poland
They'll have to do this with a front wheel drive car and include the transmission for this to work.
