  • It has never been a 'HAPPY JAMHURI DAY' for this family.
In an attempt to wipe their name off history books the family of the man who took over from the late Dedan Kimathi and drove Kenya to independence in 1963 is in agony.
Kenya's biggest betrayal | Tuko TV
His second born son has survived three murder attempts, seen his first wife killed through poisoning and witnessed his elder brother suffocated to death. This is all because of a gift from Kenya's first president, land. This is the story of Field Marshall Baimungi!
He was killed in cold blood by officials of the very government he served diligently. Kenya’s first Minister of Lands as well as powerful Meru politicians are accused of being behind the troubles bedeviling Baimungi’s family.
Their father is among scores of Kenyan freedom fighters whose stories remain untold, those who trooped into the forests to fight for their country only to lose their land, future and lives.
President Uhuru Kenyatta during his visit to the family a few years back, promised Baimungi's family he would deliver what his father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta had promised them. The wait is still on.
Here is 'KENYA'S BIGGEST BETRAYAL' .

It's a curse upon every Kenyan enjoying the freedom that was fiercely fought for by our forgotten heroes and heroines and yet we have seen shocking living conditions their families was left in it. I will lie down for them to walk on my back like a red carpet. How could we Kenyans go to sleep with our stomachs full yet these families are languishing in poverty. Wake up Kenyans and joine hands together in the spirit of harambee and help the for God sake and recognize them. I am ready to give my whole month wage to help support these forgotten families.

He may not be alive but his descendants are enjoying the stolen wealth. And to add salt to injury, he got to live to a ripe old age. Such a big shame.
