- Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is set to phase out 27 traditional roundabouts and construct 27 signalized junctions.
With funding from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency , approximately 78 billion Ugandan shillings has been injected into the project.
As Justine Nakami reports, some of the identified traffic choke points include Rwenzori Courts roundabout, Grand Imperial, Mulago, Mulago City Mortuary, and Mulago Ku Bbiri.
Please do something about boda bodas in the CBD which don't even respect traffic regulations.
With boda boda lunatics thats a wastage of money.
Our construction works on roads that are being utilized need to be done at night when there is less traffic and during the day for light works that don't affect flow during peak hours.😊
It depends on the funder dear as for japan, they believe in working during the day and rest at night.
Our city plan is outdated,my suggestion would be the government should leave Kampala as a historical town or Uganda and constract a new planned city with enough space for expansion.. let's all agree Kampala was planned to accommodate few population and now it is resulting into a Ghetto everywhere because of Congestion
Babiwuurila?
No u guys you should work on under passes or short flyovers on such conjested areas if you want to over come me traffic jam round abouts makes vehicles to stop hence still people miss use the traffic rules still making traffic difficult still raund about should remain in near by cities not in CBD
Bad ideas, it will lead to more accidents
