I assume you're Mexican and if I'm wrong I stand to be corrected. But look from the time during de la hoe's own ring career when he fought the legendary Julio Caesar chavez who I was privileged to watch fight at ringside at the famed Madison Square garden back in the 80s when he was stepping into the prime of his career I realized then that the Mexican fan base in Mexico 🇲🇽 didn't favor him and that obviously was for a reason then Fernando vargas would later on remind him that he wasn't a real Mexican as I still see that Mexicans and some Mexican Americans today feel that way about and me being a black American I'm aware that he's said racist things about my culture. But where I lost respect for hoeya was when he didn't give parnell sweet pee Whitaker a return rematch which would of been the manly thing for him to do because Whitaker clearly beat him in their 1997 fight. De la hoe know it and the entire boxing world in general know it. That traumatically did something to Whitaker which not only affected the rest of his career but even unfortunately his personal life. Though they robbed Whitaker for sure of a deserved victory against chavez but Whitaker was able to hold on to his title because of a draw decision, but that fight with de la hoe was a robbery period and it affected Whitaker worse then the chavez decision draw. I remember watching after de la hoe lost to Trinidad he was walking back to his dressing room crying like de la hoe does being what he is knowing he gave the fight away after he was beating Trinidad through most of the first 8+ rounds of that fight. He was never a man and that's why canelo finally called him out on his ish like he did at the final press conference for the munguia fight and I had a feeling this would eventually happen this is why canelo left golden boy for a reason. I finally respect canelo for letting de hoe have a piece of his mind like he rightfully should of and golden boys image is going to be tarnished even more when Ryan get suspended hopefully for personal and then the NY commission probably going to rule that fake unanimous decision win against haney a no contest which they need to do because that move by Ryan could of caused a ring health tragedy. There's enough people whose died in boxing but for Ryan to literally cheat like that I've lost alot of respect for him.
