H9 to H11 Bulb Conversion for Brighter Headlights Using $4 Microcutters

  • Modifying an H9 bulb to fit into H11 socket. The H9 has better light output and will replace the stock low beam bulbs in my 5th Gen 4Runner. I've seen other people doing this with a dremel tool and grinding the metal tab off, I believe this way of cutting with the microcutters is much easier and more precise. I purchased the microcutters from Harbor Freight.

    thanks for the video. The micro cutter cut the middle plastic off in 1 cut.

      Not really because isn't he converting an H9 bulb to fit in an H11 socket? Depends on how you look at it I guess. Lol

    what about the socket replacement for the H9 i heard the stock h11 melts over time ?

    This is much faster with an exactoknife.
