Honestly the main problem i see with 3cat spam is the way it makes other weapons useless. I enjoy 3cat spamming sometimes, but then when i want to use a casual loadout i usually lose to 3cat spammers because 90% of pixel gun weapons are underpowered. This can also tie in to why new players leave. Because the weapons that can compete with 3cat (tactical scorcher, ronin, fake pistol etc) are all difficult weapons to obtain. AT THE SAME TIME, 3 category spam loadouts are not easily available to new players because weapons like laser cycler and necklace of the ice king are “limited” weapons that are difficult to obtain. This leaves new players forced to use the mediocre casual weapons, and they lose every match most of the time to 3cat spammers/OP weapon spammers. I believe the key to fixing this is to have every single “casual” weapon buffed (automatic primaries, backups, specials) which would help new players compete without having to get rare super OP weapons. The fun of pg3d is supposed to be its variety of weapons, and when you’re forced to use the same thing over and over or lose all your games, some people just get frustrated and quit

Ecko’s 3cat videos are the ones I watch all the way will the end. I would recommend using laser cycler because on controller, you can only switch from one category to the category next to it. So using laser cycler would let you bypass the delay that the sparkling horn would give the ultimatum.

great vid ecko! some tips for cat spamming you have to learn the delay system because sometimes a loadout works but other times it doesnt if u mess up the delay system like the one u were using i would go with laser cycler instead of sparkling horn but that doesnt mean that loadout cant be used for cat spamming for example you can go from sparkling horn to notik to laser bow back to notik (or to the heavy) and then back to sparkling horn. Dont use your ulti so much only use it when you know someone is rlly low. But the loadout i usually go with is acid shotgun,cycler,epee,darts (or notik sometimes), conductor of souls, and destruction system
From watching this, I think playing with a controller like ecko would make it a lot easier and some other people have made the point that the weapons are hard to obtain, I completely agree, I’ve been playing the game for years as a f2p (except during the homing weapon phase where I bought judge) and I had to take a break for a year or two to return to the game being in an even worse state. The homing weapon phase was still less discouraging
In my opinion, cat spam is a messy situation. On one hand, it’s absolutely fun to get right and the game is best played when the player fully utilised all 6 of their weapons, while in the other hand, cat spam makes it so high damage single shot weapons have always been meta for years which puts most faster firing weapons off meta - and don’t even think about cat spamming something if it has fixed delay.
It would be really cool to see weapons in future balanced with weapon switching in mind and seeing Cubic games tinker around with weapon switching mechanics a bit more as they’re not well explained, not easy for a new player to understand and have been stagnant for a long time.
I do use fixed delay guns, as starters or enders, they are fine if they don’t pass over 2 seconds

The best 3 cat spam setup in terms of damage would be sparkling horn at mythical, darts at mythical, and laser cat rifle or harsh punisher, they both are the highest damaging non input delay snipers in the game
In certain situations, yes, 3 cat spam is overpowered. For the most part, no. 3 cat spam requires a lot of practice to master and is especially difficult to use on large maps. It's easy to use on smaller maps because there is less space to move around and there aren't many cases where the enemy is very far away.

I meet a Korean guy in Death match “Ghost Town” and I can’t take 1st place since he killed a lot of peoples in long ranges. He is 3 cat spam guy.

I think it's perfectly balanced until you start throwing in overpowered weapons like ulti or dislike. I feel like sometimes it does require more skill than casual sometimes. I was actually able to learn it pretty quickly and I think other people could too if they know the right weapons. My accuracy is like 40 or 50% lol

With a accuracy of 40.5%
I am between casual & 1-2 cat spam. Depends because I can't settle on one side, as my play style. I don't know why I switch between the two types of playstyle, maybe my fingers are tired, match progress, and how others are playing.

i have three different 3cs loadouts(backup/special/sniper)
1. laser cycler/poison darts/all sniper
2. sparkling horn/poison darts/Heavy sniper rifle,harsh punisher or other only gives delay sniper
3. ritual revolvers, headhunter pistols /reflector /supershot rifle
i seldom use notik bc i feel the damage and skill less than legendary poison darts
supershot rifle has delay but i cant feel it

My advice is if you want to incorporate the primary then try using Acid Shotgun because it has no delay of any kind to give you an idea of what a 3CatSpammer like me use’s here is my loadout
Acid Shotgun, Laser Cycler, Double Cash Back, NOTIK (Necklace Of The Ice King), Heavy Sniper Rifle And Bomber Cat
You can change Acid Shotgun out for Viking, Space Devastator or Combat Candy as an example
ecko if you cant switch to backup, try changing your heavy to the dark mage wand and using that

For a Cat Spam version of my Casual Loadout, I could just swap Rapid Fire Rifle and Cracker Gun with Mega Destroyer and Werewolf respectively.
My other weapons are Fist of Fate, Portable Death Moon, Prototype S and Ten o'Clock Postman. All these weapons I mention I made Mythical.

I dropped pixel gun like on 2019 I just recently picked it back up and I had to start over :/ but what did is special sniper heavy as well and just used the suction cup blaster to get around easier but also I had the ulty to finish lower players off and I did decently well it’s just I was never able to get the necklace and I never had good heavy’s to 3 cat with so I was struggling but now coming back to this game I think I can make better decisions on what to buy to get a good 3 cat load out :)
in my opinion the devs should add a feature with lobbies where you cannot 3 cat spam or spam op no skill stuff, alot of people would probaly enjoy it.
But that would make match making longer

Exactly, this should have been added years ago. 3cat spam has been nothing but a problem these past 3-4 years. Most lobbies at level 65 have at least 1 try hard who ruins the match for casual players, it's like fighting a robot over and over again. Seperate both play styles into seperate sections.

every time I 3CatSpam it takes me a few games to get my aim perfected. My loadout right now is purifying shotgun, pulling sucker gun, foam sword, poison darts, supershot rifle, and pixel cola refresher.
OVER THE YEARS I HAVENT WATCHED U IN SO LONG
Ecko your loadout is bad cuz a key aspect about 3cat is to know the delay of weapons ;
If u choose a 2 delay sniper like anti champ then you choose a non delay backup and a non delay primary like acid shotgun
If u play with 1 delay sniper like laser cat then you can go with a backup that has 2 delay like sparklin
The mistake that u did is u had a 2 delay sniper and a 2 delay backup
So next time fix it, and the right rotation is sniper special backup again and agin
Then if u want to spice things up eith a heavey --->primary at short range you can do it but just make shure to get back to your number 1 rotation. Thats all u need;)

Cold silence and cycler are amazing to recycle shots whilst heavy and primary to do loads of damage

start the spam with the ultimatum, then after you fire the sparkling horn, change to heavy
I agree I think 3 cat spam overall hurts the game. It’s hurts the growth of the game by gatekeeping new players. It sidelines a lot of weapons that are automatic or not suitable for cat spam. And it makes for a lot of confusing and chaotic games where they all seem to blend together. There’s no strategy with the maps it’s more just spam spam spam. Maybe something will be done about it but I doubt it.

if 3 cat is somehow removed, the whole game is ruined. majority of players use it, and in order to get rid of it they would need to put delay on every weapon. and nobody will play a game with delay on every weapon

for my primary i use Royale fighter my backup is sparkling horn my melee is blot ax my special is poison darts my sniper is lazar cat rifle and my heavy changes a lot
For me the best 3cat loadout is ultimatum laser cycler since its 1 delay heroic épée for heals notik laser cat rifle since 1 delay and 1 shoe body with lvl 7 or 8 mods and destruction system

Backup:Thunderer/Sparkeling horn
Melee:Heroic epee/double cashback
Special:Necklace of the ice king/poison darts
Sniper:Heavy sniper/laser bow
Heavy:bomber cat/Royal ashbringer
Gadets:
Stars
Royal trumpet or somth like that invis and time warp
If you see this ecko best way to spam is
Long range:backup to special to sniper to heavy
Short range: Primary to special to sniper to heavy
And if you don't keep up with that just spam special sniper and heavy
Heavy sniper is bad and laser bow is low damage with 2 delays
That shot that didn’t kill that guy from a sniper because he had the full raver clothes set so it reduces damage taken from sniper by 10 %
If your more of a swiping type of person, ur special could be anything but that has no delay which is either: Poison darts, Necklace of the ice king, or Cyber cat lantern. I prefer Notik (Necklace of the ice king) or Darts bc they do good damage unlike Cat lantern bc it may blind your enemy but it’s damage is low. Your sniper could be: Sakura, Harsh Punisher, Conductor of souls, Anti-Champion rifle, or One shot. If you truly wanna deal tons of damage, it’s those weapons. Your backup could be: Dual anger, Thunderer, Ice Wyvern Horns, Sparkling Horn, or Headhunter pistols. Either one of those deal decent damage but Thunderer or Sparkling horn is the bestest choice. Heavy could be used as jumping onto other platforms like: Bomber Cat, Royal Ashbringer, Proton Freezer, Pixel-Cola Refresher, or Dark Mage Wand (If you wanna as in “4catspam” with it) but it usually has low rocket jump, the rest heavies I listed could be a choice. And finally, your primary could be: Ultimatum, Acid Shotgun, Viking, Rune Buster (Delay), Nachos Shotgun (Also Delay), etc.
Just as long if it is overpowered then your good.

in order for me to keep up with people catspamming i had to catspam, which ill be honest, it doesn't feel fun for me but its the only way for my to keep up with getting kills and winning matches, since people hate when i was usin my fav weapons and "spamming them"
for my catspam i use Sparkling Horn, Notik and Laser Cat Rifle and while those are weapons i like, it just feels mindless when i catspam which gets boring after a while
i think it is very overpowered when u do learn it, took me time but once i got farily decent it wasnt hard to drop around 30 ish kills per match
yh ur having trouble with backup becuase your on controller so you can just use special and sniper and u could use something in heave like dark mage wand or wizard wand or even photon freezer

My favorite 3 cat loadout is thunderer, necklace of ice king, and heavy sniper rifle cause that’s my best one delay sniper and I like it
For me the 3 cat spam weapons I use is:anti champ,the back up of crystal division,posion darts. That's my 3 cat spam I use btw I love ur videos and hope u have good day.
i think the game needs better matchmaking because low levels get put against lvl 65 players and 3cat is basically the only way to actually get kills, automatic weapons simply don't deal enough damage to kill people at the lower levels
Not that modern new primaries arent competent enough to kill people, with modules they can be beasts, but the issue is that the guns u can buy with coins are outdated (they were meant to kill people with 200 hp, not 280 almost 50% more) and also prices are very bad so if u choose one bad gun u are fucked up

hey echo just some advice when 3 cat spamming use your mele when you aren't shooting so you can guide your shots better
This is useless shotgun would fix your aim to keep switching and hitting them
Personally I would use Ulti (I dont have it) Thunderer, Cashbacks(not owned) or Epee, Ice King or Darts (I use darts cuz i like them better), Laser cat rifle/Harsh Punisher(not owned) cuz 1 delay only, and destruction system(not owned) or bomber cat(not owned)/proton freezer
Tip: Understand delays
Tip 2: If you have a 2 delay sniper use laser cycler, 1 delay then use thunderer, exterminator, sparkling horn

If back up is too hard to 3 cat with then usea cat spam heavy like how of the mummy which does have small delay but no travel time.
Laser cat is the best for 3 cat as well as the back up being laser cycler but other than that your load out is perfect
Ecko, you should use poison darts rather than iceking, becuz darts at mythical can one shot head and one shot body with high mods

You have to learn the delay mechanic of weapons so you can play 3 cat with less delays
With all the other broken metas like one shot weapons (dislike and deadly beat) I don't think 3cs is a big problem. Also I like it

I went from casual player to a 3cat, I played PG for 4 years now Implemented casual for 2 years then learned 3cat and picked that up after awhile and now I'm a PG3D CZcamsr. 😂 The irony is to much to bare for me. 😂😭

When I first played pixel gun I was watching a CZcamsr called esoteric inc and he was 3cat spamming so I started do it and I mastered it
I think that its not overpowered in a common sense. I think the skill ceiling is just very high. Its like saying mastering recoil in warzone is op. And I personally would say players that swap weapons all the time rocket jump AND hit shots should get better results than someone pressing fire on a full auto primary.

reason being that thunderer has more dmg than laser cycler, but most snipers cant be spammed with thunderer. harsh punisher has the highest dmg of any sniper u can use with thunderer

if you kill players by shotgun or cluster bomb skill weapon in a whole match...the % will increase
I believe this is due to multiple hits registering in a single shot, meaning perfect accuracy with something like adrophite crossbow would net at 300% rather then 100%

Looking at how you change from weapon to weapon, ehh.
The whole point of 3 cat spamming is avoiding the delay that happens after switching from a delay weapon to a delay weapon, to avoid delay you switch from; Delay -> Non-Delay -> Delay.
Example: Delayed Sniper to a Non-Delayed Special to Delayed Backup
You should never start with a Non-Delay weapon, Delayed weapons deal more damage compare to Non-delayed weapons.
Also avoid using Fixed Delay weapons due to their pull out delay.
on pc it’s much easier because you can just hold your mouse button and switch categories, boom enemy killed.
Although im a 3cat player I’d much rather not be tbh but it’s just too op to miss out on

Ecko 3 cat spam is easy for you because of the play style you already play. What I mean by that is when you play your regular play style your basically 2 cat spamming. If you already know 2 cat spam then 3 cat spam is easy to pick up. Or your just a quick learner XD

I think they should remove lvl cap all together so players can grind to just get really high levels, but in turn take away leveled weapons. Make the stats of the weapon basically max lvl no matter what lvl, like no weapon lvls at all or stars.
Also my acc as a 5 cat spammer is 50.6%
