At 1:12, he spins a cluster of wires at the stem, and a wire appears with a yellow cap that plugs to the thumb throttle. My Haibike dosnt have that.

Only if it has the often hidden loose plug, check inside the cable wrapping, hope this helps and thanks for watching

Update...i found a video online of someone adding a throttle to the carrera but it was very bodged and very very complicated, he must be an electrician or just a genius, sorry not a simple as my oxygen I'm afraid.
Can you use a y splitter if you have given a 1T3 cable harness?
I have a shimona E600 mid drive motor. I really need to add a throttle. Do you know if it's possible.
they are available for the E8000 so check to see if you have the loose plug inside the cable wrap, i hope this helps, thanks for watching.

Only if it has the little plug hidden in the cable tidy.
This means your e bike is only pedal assist class,now you can have full electric no pedalling needed option?am i right?

+J Lea as far as I can tell your bike doesn't have the ability to be throttle driven, however this information would be hard to find anyway because throttle assist is banned in many parts of the world, I suggest looking for a loose plug hidden somewhere around the handlebars and go from there, I hope this helps.

As you can see on the oxygen it has an existing plug meant for a throttle, if yours doesn't it would be a lot more involved and only an electrician could figure out the wiring as they rarely are colour coded to a aftermarket throttle, this goes for all e-bike, thanks for watching and check for hidden plugs.

The thumb throttle you have it wrong it should be beside the grip on bars
It was a preference as I was only able to get a couple of fingers on the brake leaver, it's how you feel comfortable, I also later flipped the throttle over so i could push forward for exceleration, thanks for you feedback.

Usually the mk2 has a little silver display and the mk1 has the larger black display.......Usually

+andykma smith hi, if I am understanding you correctly that wouldn't work because the controller not only governs the speed of the bike is also the brains so it wouldn't function anyway.

This is a little thing they don't tell you, about the hidden plug, if you don't have it then you probably can't do it, sorry.
my connector is round like yours but at the throttle i have 3 wires. Red, white and black. Please tell me how to connect my wires with the round connector. Thank You.
Not easy, if it doesn't have the same plug, it may be possible to join the wires directly but it would be a case of trial and error....it might not work at all..give it a go but you might have to get the correct throttle from the manufacturer of your bike.... good luck.
you dont explain nothing... what and where diz you just plug it to? how is that plug and play?
As shown in the video, there has to be a plug, usually hidden in the wire covering for this particular bike, that's how I diz it.
