@@krostifmusic My daughter is 15 has been playing piano for the past 7/8 years and getting good at it. I want her to be more creative with music and I’m thinking of buying her a synth for Christmas. I want it to be something that inspires her to do her own thing. I was thinking the Korg Minilouge wound be a good intro? I’d appreciate your opinions

@@karelbh775 Minilogue xd is a great first synth to learn sound design, very intuitive. But for a piano player, it could be frustrated. It has only 4 voices (you can play only 4 notes in the same time) , keyboard is only 3 octaves, and the keys are smaller than a piano... It depends on what she wants to play, but maybe look for more voices, more keys and standard size.. You should watch and compare reviews you can find online :)

Very nice. Excuse my ignorance on synths, but how do you setup the outputs from these 2 different machines? where is the sound coming off from? surely not 4 speakers....LOL,Thanks...I suppose you are using a mixer, probably

No worries you're welcome 😊 and you're right, I use a mixer. It's a soundcraft, which has rec out via usb to computer. But in this case you don't really need to.. you can send tr8s audio directly via usb to your computer. And tr8s has an external stereo input to recieve a synth 😉

I never heard the XD sound this good! Honestly it's been in my closet the last few weeks due to the perceived lack of bass. Are these factory presets for both machines?

Thank you !🙏 Tr8s plays internal sounds reworked with internal tools and minilogue xd plays my own patches, using some free user oscillators in addition :)
