Hi! Greatings from Latvia! I am happy to see a lot of countries playing hockey, it will be really cool championship! Past years was playing only Scandinava, Canada, Russia and few more, but this year many more that is WAY more interesting competitions :)

why does nobody care about hockey in Poland?
@@micca971 Simply hockey has never been a part of Polish mass culture and I don't think it's gonna change in the foreseeable future, my peers don't even know there's the WC coming up.
@@micca971 Hockey is only popular in a couple of regions in the south of the country (near Slovakia, basically). The fact that there isn't even a team in the top league in Warsaw means it's never going to get the coverage it needs. The league has gotten a lot better over the last decade, though: TV coverage is a lot better than before and there were record high attendance levels this season, so I think the future is bright.
@@micca971 No indoor ice rinks, no promotion, Polish Ice Hockey Federation is very in debt, underfinansed, weak league, only 10 proffesional teams, and most of them are from 2 regions: Upper Silesia and Carpathians. Most popular sport in our country is always: volleyball, football, and speedway, ice hockey was always very niche. It's miracle we play now in Elite, when few years ago aour national team was in Division B (3rd league). We only have a slighty chance to win with France and Kazakchstan in our group. But last friendly match with Denmark was pretty good, we lost only 1:3 :)
