Latinos in general, and Mexicans in particular, are some of the sweetest, most humble, and kindest people in the world. Americans could learn a lot about humanity and altruism from the Latino people.
I (regular white dude) live in an American town that has several Mexican immigrants due to a meat packing plant close by. I started dating a very sweet girl from a recently immigrated family. She spoke English but her family didn't. She invited me over for dinner one evening to meet her parents. When I arrived not only were her parents there but so were her aunts, uncles, grandmother, and cousins. They were all there simply to meet me! It was one of the most welcoming, warm, and sincere things I've ever been a part of despite us only speaking through her translating. Her mother and grandmother spent the day preparing a feast for the occasion and the food was INCREDIBLE!! Her father immediately gave me a big hug and a cold cerveza. Just a warm loving amazing group of people. I totally agree, Americans could learn A LOT from the Mexicans, I sure did.
