Hey Jen, I live in Orlando and I have to say the yarn Pickens are very slim but before Covid I have to say it wasn't too bad especially Michaels Michaels used to have the best variety and now I think they have the lowest variety of yarn I get most of my yarn online. this was a great idea to take your Yarn community on vacation with you. Enjoyed it very much.

Morning Jen! It is 87 this morning and plans on going up to 110 to day. We will see. Inside is it only a few degrees cooler. We are living in a 50 year old apt complex with no insulation in the walls. Hoping to lose some weight from all the sweating LOL I keep looking at my projects and going Nope. Much love to you all.

I love the yarn and fluff you got, all of it is gorgeous!!! That spindle is beautiful and definitely a work of art…I hope I get to go one day to those yarn stores they sound wonderful. Where I live I’m surrounded by a bunch of small towns and there are no yarn shops. The only close place I have to get yarn is from Walmart and I have to drive an hour just to get to Hobby lobby, Michael’s and Joann’s. I googled yarn shops and the closest one is two hours away from me. I discovered that where I use to live in Texas there are a lot of yarn shops, but honestly I had no idea that there where stores that just catered to yarn art. They even have LYS crawls there. Now I live in Oklahoma and I’m an hour from Ft. Smith Arkansas. I can’t wait until I go home back to Texas to visit because I definitely plan on going to the yarn shops.
Anyways I’m happy you got to go back to Fiber Arts to get that beautiful spindle, fluff and yarn.
I will see you in tomorrow’s video, can’t wait to see what you have in store for us.

Yeah, my drop spindle has the shallow notch, too, and it slips ALL THE TIME 😠 especially when it's starting to get full. It makes me crazy but it's what I've got lol I hope you love using your new one!
When you are sucking out the air in those bags, try using a straw. You will close the opening is tiny. I put stuff in bags and discovered the straw trick.
That Barn Dance yarn is GORGEOUS and the blue colorway is almost as beautiful! I know you will make something fantastic!

You can also squeeze out the air then seal it up on each to the middle leave enough room to put in a straw and then suck out the remaining air pullout out the straw and seal quickly. I do that when I store my garden veggies in the freezer. Love your channel so much. 🌈💚💛🧡❤️🩷🩵💙💜🌈

We found a nice yarn shop on the space coast years ago. I think it was in Cocoa Beach.
When i was in Maryland where was a group people who went to the lidrary, and did crocheting . Maybe you can start one like that .Where group of ladies who went to a yarn shop and did crochet and knit one night a week. I really like both groups .

I want to hear what you think of premier gradient yarn. IT is awesome I’m loom knitting a cardigan using owl eye stitch on a 3/8 loom. I must say premier got it right and I just love the way it looks.
NC winters were awful compared to Massachusetts. 40's, wet and raw; right to the bone. 2 or 3 months of cold raw boredom. No clear cold dry air with snow to play in

Oh! One of my mom's nurses recommended a yarn shop in Bedford VA called the Stitch Witch. I stopped by on my way back to TN. I think you'd like it. Very open and colorful. The shop owner was very friendly and relaxed.

My hands are killing me today, so I am ambivalent about spinning. Also, I am making an afghan for my 10 yr old grandson that loves to wrap up to do homework, watch tv, or do his homework so it is long and with eye popping colors. For the first time ever, the yarn is chewing up my hands! I may be better off going back to cotton projects for a while!! You always find some great colors’
There is nothing worse than yarn that does that to your skin.

Being a boy mom isn't for the weak that's for sure LOL. Expect body noises at the most inopportune times and places. Then when the boys and their daddy start making jokes with their bodily noises and functions ooof. The world I live in.
@@RandeT73 my grandson just turned 10 and I wish my daughter-in-law luck in what they have ahead! Like Little Man he has similar issues. Take that and multiply it several times and thinking of roughing it out on the woods several times with a dozen boys trying to teach them to be resilient and responsible leaders with compassion as a Scout leader for around 15 years and you get the idea of what it is like to wrangle a herd of monkeys! It is insane! I am not sure whether I was incredibly strong or just insane! Hang onto your sense of humor above everything! Bottom line!
