    2023 Avg $1368 per week, 125 to 150 trips, 90% AR. Today $100 per week, 7 trips, 12% AR. Rating 4.99, 2024 SUV, 9k+ trips. Uber is dishonest, algorithmically manipulative, takes 60% and ACTIVELY works to subvert its best drivers. Sorry, plain straight facts. South Florida. Years ago, when there were no drivers nearby, you couldn’t order food. Nowadays the apps don’t care if the driver looses money. They just care about their reputation, which thankfully is going in one direction - the gutter. Restaurants near me are giving you discounts if you don’t use Uber or DoorDash. Grubhub already lost momentum in this area. Smaller local companies force the restaurants to not allow Uber or DoorDash if their app is used. Talk with your customers. Uber and Lyft aren't like they use to be. Back than,you were able to make a decent amount of money whenever fhe companies first came around. In today's society,doing Uber and Lyft full-time is just crazy. You have to work very long hours to make the same amount of money you made before. Its a shame for what ride-sharing has come to. I use to do Uber and Lyft part-time,now at this stand age,it feels as though it isn't worth doing rideshare anymore. The pricing on rides have gotten so low that it's made it unstainaible to do rideshare. The prices are too low,the surge is no longer available,and the challenges that they do send to you are a complete joke. The well has dried up within these compaies. I think it's time for change. A type of change that wipes these two companies off the map and start off with another one that is willing to pay drivers for what they're worh. Uber and Lyft have gotten so greedy with the shavings and take rate,that it's made itself a complete laughable to do anymore. To me,when one door close another one advently opens. Do not let these companies control you. Live,learn and grow. Continuing doing these things to help yourself grow as a person.

    The discussion around ride-share earnings is indeed complex. The $30 per hour figure, based on utilized hours, is a critical detail that merits further exploration to fully understand its implications. It's true that individual actions alone may not shift a company's approach to compensation. Collective action, however, such as drivers adjusting their ride acceptance criteria, could potentially influence market dynamics. Yet, the challenge remains in the oversupply of drivers, which can undermine individual efforts to negotiate better pay. This underscores the importance of community and shared strategies within the driver network to address these systemic issues.

    This is a lie. I live in Jacksonville, and I'm having a hard time keeping above $20. And since getting my own car and getting rid of the rental noose that was hanging around my neck, it seems to be a struggle to break $16. My acceptance rate has greatly increased because i refuse to average out at $12 an hour, which is minimum wage and not acceptable. We almost never have surges and I can't remember the last time we had any boosts. They're definitely charging the riders more, but that isn't translating over to the driver's. Now, the airport prices are dropping for drivers. I've discovered that driving for Lyft, I'm getting a much better rate. Another peeve is that they jumped the carrot amount by 45 cents. It may seem petty, but why charge us for cashing out in the first place when you're already keeping the lions share of the fare?

  • @johnwayne397
    @johnwayne397 Před měsícem

    Uber and Lyft do two things
    1. Most of the rides all over the country are undercharged to the passengers they are too cheap that is how Uber keeps their ride request up by volume they are selling rides so cheap it's like buying an item at Dollar tree or selling a cheeseburger at McDonald's at low prices but high quantity that is not sustainable, it may be for them, but it is not for the driver, It cost more money to run the vehicle than what the passenger is actually paying for the ride and passengers get sucked into this not knowing that they are contributing to costing the driver money and not realizing they are hitchhiking for free because the amount of money that they're paying is going into the negative it doesn't cover anything but as long as Uber may be takes $2 off of that ride thousands of times a day that's how they make their bulk profit they keep it cheap enough to keep the passengers coming in so they can make a couple of dollars on each ride knowing that the driver is actually losing money for that one ride
    2. There are times when the rise cost more than normal in the passengers pay more but they try to hide that and they don't give it to the driver so they make it look like they're charging more when they're actually not these are just surge times whenever they're trying to make up for the money that they save the passenger in the past those few times at the rides cost more do not count because the majority is too low they do not charge appropriately for the time and distance they do this to confuse people they do it to make it look like they're charging more or the driver is getting more it's just an illusion
    When you complain about a $3 ride you're not understanding that that passenger is only paying five bucks or less the passenger is not being charged enough money but they brainwash the passengers into thinking that everything is taken care of for a cheap ride price just like going to McDonald's and buy a cheeseburger for a dollar
    They try to keep the prices as cheap as possible to keep the ride request up to keep the passengers coming in so they can take $2 a ride and make their bulk profit that is the scam
    The only way to make money is to reduce the amount of drivers increase the charges increase the pay there are too many drivers and they are trying to buy too many passengers a ride
    If passengers would keep up with their tips with these cheaper rides and the oversaturation of drivers things won't be as bad but at the same time that the passengers are getting faster pickups with too many drivers and cheaper rides they are not paying it forward with more tips

    All ppl want is a fair piece of the pie. The fees on Lyft and Uber are not consistent. I feel like the gig apps are catering more towards immigrants cause you can’t survive on what’s being paid in America.
