I totally forgot the hook size, but it somewhere around 0.8 to 1.2 mm. And yes, it's already about 20 years and we still use it as a throw in our living room.
This is beautiful! I love scrappy projects when they are well executed like this! The little granny squares offer so much concentrated variation in color in a smaller space that just makes you feel happy! The biggest advantage to a big project for any crafter is that the process is what makes the finished product so much more enjoyable!

This has inspired me to create this blanket using merino wool sock yarn that I have lots of and I’m going to a lap/throw blanket.
