- We make our first visit to Monza with chicanes in daily race C for Gran Turismo 7 this week in the group 3 machinery but that sort of where the good news ends...find out why inside!!
PD amaze me with their outstanding creativity….
Well to be fair as I mentioned it is the first use of Monza Chicanes for daily C on GT7!!...they gave up after that though 😆
And they broke the rule that it’s always Mazda TCs at Kyoto!

Lol... with this tyrewear model strategy is becoming more and more redundant in GT7....half the reason I do these vids now is as a record of daily races Cs

I'm glad I'm away with work until Friday. Between this and the heavy damage ruining GTWS races, it's becoming difficult to motivate myself to play right now.
Yeah im getting thar way myself at the moment but if I play any other racing game I just don't feel it.
Tbf this race is far from boring but soon as fighting breaks out between cars in front you start going 2 seconds a lap slower and nudged out the way by drivers more ruthless. Just gets frustrating for me.

It is a shame that the settings are so poor for this one - but Monza is used so infrequently that I can see myself doing that race a lot this week especially after a couple of weeks of not liking the tracks.
Yeah first time for chicane variant in daily C in GT7 crazy as it sounds so there is originality of sorts i guess. There is fun to be had but also a lot of chaos as you would expect.
On the positive side, it’s a flat out race for once. I’m not a fan of tyre wear deciding a race, more than pace.
Yeah im a strategy guy lol...leave the flat out racing to daily B. Tbh tyrewear is so low at Monza even x7-8 would barely impact pace so maybe they didn't see the point!
This is definitely looking like a high speed BoP test! But why do we have to be the testers?
Well given they won't take 30 mins to test settings for a race do you think they will spend the hours needed to test BOP themselves 😆
If we start seeing WT players like Galloway, Kylian, Josete and Mikail etc racing in random cars its usually a good sign BOPs being tested.
I noticed this a while back when MR got changed and suddenly all these big name drivers were racing in a selection of MR cars for a few days...well thats my theory anyway.

Optimistically, I’d like to think they’re testing the market for player preference. Because if it’s a lack of interest, then why not just shut down the server.

I like these settings, it's one of the times where less is more. You have strategy options on when to pit without needing to manage tyres or fuel all the way through the race, it's rare to have a flat out race C so a welcome change and no bloody tuning for once 🥳.
The new BOP seems to be working well too, the Supra is the meta but it's not dominant like it used to be.
I'm always going to knock a race C for having no real strategy because that's what I like about racing but I do get that people like flat out sprints as well...maybe the hybrid sprint/mandatory stop is a compromise for both lol. Tbf if you are going to set a race like that Monza is pretty well suited to it because track keeps the racing close and Monza is known for very low tyrewear anyway.
Yeah new BOP is looking good...I was even competitive in the Genesis last night against the Supras and seen you win in the Porsche on winds stream.
@@wombleleaderracing6455 I'd argue that there are more strategy options this week than usual because all 9 laps are viable depending on how your race is going and how others are racing it, usually the undercut is king and everybody pits as early as they can make it to the end. Fundamentally it's impossible to shoehorn a proper strategy race into a 25 minute window no matter how extreme they go with the multipliers.
Suzuka was a big missed opportunity, instead of using the 40 minutes to make something special they made a dull race longer. If that had been 1x tyre wear but 3 mandatory compounds and a fuel multiplier that forced all the stints to be roughly the same length it would've raced so much better and gave pad players similar options.
That win was lucky because everyone else binned it but in the right hands that car can win on merit there it has pace, that would've been unheard of under the old BoP in that kind of lobby.
I think you're right about this being BOP testing time for PD btw x1 tyre and fuel plus no settings means it has to be ....
Could 've been great as you say but they fumbled it again It should be med/soft to give us SOMETHING to think about.Those multi player lobbies are very good practice and a lot of fun but a pity they dont add to your daily milage and earn you tickets like any other races do .Since I found this out I avoid them [after not knowing they were there for 18 months lol]
Yeah could defintely have been better in my opinion but that's not to say its a boring race as monza alway delivers the chaos.
I love Monza and love GR3, yet PD have still managed to make this race very unappealing.
Tbf its far from boring but for me racing this close at this circuit just decends into frustration.
I actually don’t know how there’s like 1.5 seconds in my lap. Struggled so long to gain 8 tenths and idk how to possibly go faster than that. Watched leaderboard and other guides but idk what I’m doing wrong
Yep most of us know that feeling to be honest
Usually its just about doing everything a split second faster or later to improve lap times.
For example if you get on the power half a tenth quicker on every corner exit then over a lap that will translate to 5 tenths or so. Brake 3-4 metres later and maximise trail braking and there's another 5 tenths and it soon adds up.
Of course its much easier said than done. I can watch fastest lap in world and it looks very similar to mine but they go a second faster.
If they're doing tests for gtws they could at least make us use two tyre compounds. I'm sure they could test a 10 lap sprint race RH tyres only at Monza themselves.

Imagine this race with high fuel consumption or tire wear, and variable weather!
Took me 10 mins to sort a race with mediums/hards required and fuel to take on a pitstop which gave loads of strategy options.

I just quit dailys since grand valley reverse.
I joined the official portuguese GT league and we have far more interesting races.
For reference next track is 90mins le mans with 2 slots on R8 and tyre x6 fuel X3... So much strategy into this that is hard to believe I'm playing gt7
PS: on gr1 class.. and old models aren't even viable cuz of tyre deg and driving on the rain
That race does sound excellent...I know the feeling from my endurance races, can feel like a different game.
Booooring. Is using a Daily Race for a ‘BoP test’ actually a thing though? It’s not as if all cars will be properly compared with each other.
Indeed very boring. Iv already got setting sorted for a sprint and endurance race for lobbies lol. Only took me 20 mins....im just an email away PD 😆
Not sure if they use us for BOP testing but look out for WT drivers like Gallo, Kylian, Josete, Mikhail etc racing random cars....thats usually a tell tail sign....well thats my theory anyway.
