    It's simple:
Kwame came into the league straight out of highschool
An intelligent (booksmart) 17 year old who's #1 priority was caring for his mother.
He had all the tools to be dominant, but he was also very raw, so he would need a gentle guidance and a few years being slowly brought along - fundamentals, confidence building etc., (Even KG & Kobe as ready and GOAT as they were had training wheels their first couple seasons--because they came from HIGH SCHOOL. Giannis played in the Euroleague but still needed a few years of training wheels in the NBA to become the FREAK).
*Kwame lands on a Wizards team as the #1 overall pick to a Michael Jordan fresh out of retirement to save his ownership stake and show that he still has "it"
Being under pressure himself, naturally pushed Michael to be extremely, insanely, obsessively hard on Kwame (again a 17-18 year old), when Pippen (who was 23 when he joined the Bulls) and Kukoc (25) and Horace Grant (25), were unable to handle their first few years around Jordan
*He pushed Kwame to do things too fast when as a 17-18 year old he was just getting the lay of the land, and berated and belittled him mercilessly ( A 40 year old, berating a teenager without offering to help him get better)
Michael's actions were not that of an owner (who's priority would have been to provide an optimal environment for Kwame to get better), but that of a player so desperate to make sure his legacy didn't get tarnished -- he didn't care if he destroyed a young player with great potential in the process.
*Now: you're Kwame Brown and the player who hates you in your first year as a teen in the NBA is not only the GOAT, but the most beloved player of all time pre social media era (meaning he controls what gets out to the media). What do you do? What can you do? The narrative is forever set; the league will treat you this way. The only exceptions are when someone who understands decides while the player is still young, there will be a reclamation and rebuilding of said player to reach his potential. This wasn't happening especially not on the wiz; the immediate era following was the the ballhog (Arenas & Stackhouse) Era. Gilbert was very good, but the point is he wasn't giving up any of his trajectory for Kwame to be sorted out.
*Next thing you're on the Lakers with a Kobe (who's close with MJ and views you the same way Mike did). & Stephen A. who has always known his bread is buttered on the brightest of stars, will NEVER, NEVER be fair to you as he is of course on the side of the 2 GOATS (KOBE & MJ) and how THEY view YOU. Stephen A. becomes sports media's biggest star all while trashing you for over a decade, and even going to HBCU's and trashing you.
This was a long time coming.

Giannis never played in the Euroleague.
Euroleague is the second best league in the world, if he would have played in it he would have dominated the nba from the jump. He came in the nba from the 2nd league in Greece, which is maybe the 20th league in Europe, that's why he was raw at the start.
In comparison doncic was the Euroleague mvp at 18 and he came firing and giving people work in the nba to the point that he's in mvp conversations from the start.

The common denominator between Rip Van Winkle and Kwame Brown, is Rip woke up after sleeping for 20 years, whereas Kwame spent 20 years wide awake, listening to various media naysayers using him as the butt of the joke, labeling him as the poster child in being the greatest Bust in NBA history. Well, guess what, it is obvious Brown no longer wants to play the role of the silent night based on the list of names he has put on notice. He is creating a storm in the NBA like they haven't seen in years. With that being said, the word is one of Chris Broussard's anonymous sources reported Rip is wide awake in the body of Brown. So far KB is winning the verbal online war with the Naysayers going away. Just a real talk keeping it a real opinion. By the way, did Matt Barnes have any idea Kwame would transform him into becoming the first "Transgender" to co-host a podcast, name good hair Becky? Amazing.
