- I play a coin pusher putting 1000 quarters inside. This coin pusher gives out quarters, money, and prizes. It also has a prize key inside which unlocks a major prize if you win it. I also calculate the return I got back from my 1000 quarters - will this coin pusher be more generous or worse than others I've played?

As someone who loves coinpushers, it's depressing to see these prizes barely moving at all. What a waste of money these are when you think about it.
I know he says he doesn’t want to double stack the quarters, but I bet the only way to push the top stuff IS to double stack. All that’s happening right now is that he is only moving the bottom layer of quarters while the top kind of float. He needs to stack those bad boys and stack them deep.
Dave, you are able to adjust the height of the lip of the coin pusher.
Not only did the owner have the lip too high, but the prizes weren’t even worth a damn.
Not all coin pushers are like this.

For the next 1000 quarter drop, you should spray paint a 100 or 200 quarters so you can visualize the travel of your quarters in the machine to see how efficient the movement is. This should tell you if your theory of placement, left, right, center is true when targeting a prize laying on the quarters, and if your quarters just travel under the prize. This will also visually tell you how many quarters fall on the lower level and become “double stacked”.

It’s a shame the key is steal so they can sneakingly put magnets under the playing field to stop the key but keep everything else moving🤔

it's physics, the movement is happening on the lowest level so it pushes the bottom coins more than the top causing the bottom coins to push out like you see while the top most barely move.
Yeah, that key isn’t going anywhere
Keys weigh less than quarters and also it’s pushing the lower quarters first, also it looks close but also needs to get pushed to the edges

Next time you do a coin pusher video you should draw a smiley face or something on both sides so you can track where the quarter is the whole time and see how much it has moved

I honestly think that the scratch off ticket was blocking not only the owner's return, but a good majority of a quarters that would have otherwise gone to the right because watching the video I noticed that almost every big push got blocked by that scratch off preventing it from going to the right and forcing it to go more to the left.

They have the bottom lip up too high. That's why you only got quarters back & not any scratchers or the key.

Great video, I was going to say about 2/3 return (65%) so I wasn't that far out with the 61.9%.
I saw the quick flick at the end and once the key and dollars/scratch tickets reached a certain point, they'd just fall backwards again :( so who knows if it's possible to win any of those!

It's safe to say that those lotto tickets were immediately scanned after purchase to check for big money before they were put in the coin pusher... 😂
Coin pushers are like one step forward and 10 steps back when it comes to light top prizes, while on a slope lmao.

That's why they can have all those good prizes. The odds of getting that key are virtually zero. There is probably some trickery below the quarters on the playfield that funnel quarters in a particular direction, and if a prize gets on top of the raised portion, it'll never make it.
Could even be a key made completely or partially of magnetic metal with a very weak magnet on the playfield to keep it from moving forward, but letting it slide around a bit.
the profit on a coin pusher depends o the length slot on sides and the angle the slots are set at to determine how much the machine captures

The ticket stuck in the return is why you didn’t get the key. There was no push on that side. Any coin dropped on the right forced the quarters to the left because of the blocked return. The sped up part shows exactly that.

Coin pushers games are rare where I'm at.

"It's moving" Fast forward shows it never moved.
The key was moving forward for a bit. Then the wave of quarters at the front pushed it back further away 😂
