Here in GA, Publix is considered a higher end grocery store 😂 like more expensive. They have a big deli, they actually cut their meat fresh with boars head meat on their subs. It’s really good!!! Probably doesn’t hold a candle to a Philly hoagie, but down here we consider Publix to have the best subs! 😅

The subs at Publix, in my opinion, are way better quality than any of the food at Wawa! If you haven’t tried their sandwiches you definitely have to give it a shot. They are phenomenal, so tasty! 🥰🫶

Felt the disappointment of wrong orders and can’t go anything about it. All weekend, I was looking forward to getting an plain egg and cheese bagel from Dunkin on Sunday morning. Got home and it was a freaking CROISSANT. Not the same as a plain toasted bagel. I was big sad, but still ate it because I was hungry 🙃

I am a philly native, and I have had a pubsub! I go to UofSC, and get them a good amount since I miss wawa so much. Honestly, they are good. It reminds me a lot of wawa, definitely not as good but not terrible!!!! I am counting down the days until I can have Wawa again!!

I'm from Bethlehem, PA but used to live in West Philly. We have both Wawa and Sheetz up in the Lehigh Valley, but I know once you hit Scranton, there are no Wawas around. Wawa is ELITE for sandwiches, and is overall better, but I'm not gonna lie Sheetz motz sticks and fried pickles are fire lolol.

Publix is below Whole Foods but above a regular grocery store. Publix is like a Kroger’s. ALDIs is very inexpensive because they have limited amounts.

Coming from a Lehigh Valley girl, I can confidently say Wawa is 1000x better than Sheetz! Sadly I live in NYC now where Wawa isn't a thing :(

I live in South Florida, and yes, Wawa has been popping up everywhere over the last few years. It's gotta be due to all the northerners down here!

I'm from PA . . . yeah, Sheetz is glorified gas station food, it's good for what it is, or at 3 AM in parts of PA where nothing else is open (everywhere but Philly). Sheetz has more on the menu than WaWa, but WaWa has better bad hoagies, and I say bad not that they aren't good, but they're cheap and good when there's not really other options. Primo or Jersey Mikes are more of an authentic sub that you'd get if you have your pick and are comparable to the mom and pop sub shops, if not better than a significant number of them. Publix I've had, it's a lot better sub than wawa or Sheetz - not as good as Jersey Mikes or Primos or the mom and pop places, but I'd say on par with Wegmans and much better than wawa or sheetz or things that are just nostalgic, cheap, or stuff you'd eat because you're in a small town and it's midnight and there's nothing else. But, again, subs, pizza, bagels in PA/NY/NJ are a big thing and in other parts of the country, what they consider subs, or pizza, or a bagel is not anything of the sort in PA, NY, NJ. Publix is better than you'd expect though, but, you're correct in that the raving about it is in parts of the US where it probably is the best subs they can find.
