RIP Jim Otto “00” Otto’s intro by Bill Bergey in the 2010 NFL Top 100 Players of All Time says it all. The video is on CZcams & that series is IMHO the single best way a fan can get a feel for what the NFL is & how it got there in a series of 4-5 minute videos. RIP Jim Otto. He is what the NFL is all about.

Great episode. Michael explains things so well. Love the details about the all the things an HC does to get a team ready, how they make decisions in games & study & figure out the other team & game plan… love it all! Lombo teaches a new way to appreciate the game through the eyes of a coach, GM & QB. The game is even better when we know what the coach & staff are doing while it’s happening & how they prepared for the biggest moments.

This show has given me a whole new appreciation for the game I thought I knew. There’s episodes where Michael gets into player grading systems, all the things the best head coaches do, GM duties & “coaching malpractice” in managing a game. It’s worth it to go back & listen to old episodes, especially during the season when he’s recaping games. But describing how a coach calculates the number of plays remaining, how he tells the coordinators what kind of plays are needed in situations & how he manages games is fascinating. His credentials are excellent starting with Bill Walsh’s 1984 49ers & working with some of the greatest in the game for 30 years including Belichick & Al Davis. This is my favorite NFL show/podcast & I’ve been an NFL for over 40 years. It’s changed the way I watch & see games because I have an idea as to who’s doing what on the coaching staff. Sorry this is so long. Enjoy & good luck this season. 🍀👍

Hearing a lot of doubt about the MacDonald hire in Seattle and I don't get it. He took the ravens defense from 26th to 8th to 1st without a star rusher. Now he comes to Seattle with a a similiar defense outside of LB and he's a LB coach lol. I don't get the downside of a guy like that taking over for a STALE regime with Pete. We finally hired an offensive coordinator with a mind of his own as well and I'm here for it.
