I savor every installment. I never watch more than one at a time. Each one leaves me content. This is a series the quality of which is rarely encountered these days. I fear the day I have watched them all. When that day comes, I suppose I shall have to start at the beginning and watch them all over again.
Such a pleasure to find a new video show up on a Saturday morning with my coffee, and it did not disappoint. My favorite channel to watch. Please take your time finishing the boat ... I want this to last.
You blokes remind me of watching my dad work when I was a lad. The methodical ways, the gentle calm, light-hearted humour and quiet demeanour gives me solace and comfort. And of course I love the construction of historical wooden boats; but that's a bonus. PS a big Tally-Ho fan since the first rotten plank was striped from the old hull. Now in the briny and looking good. Leo and his crew are marvels. Almost as good as you two.
I noticed that you have a good selection of background music in your videos!! Eric Satie makes watching the varnish getting dry a very enjoyable experience. Satie also broke with a lot of conventions (like writing music scores without bar lines or having the most absurd descriptions of how play the piano pieces).
I've been thinking over these weeks of watching that should you decide to sell merchandise, the artwork could be just a drawing of Spirit (maybe the profile view from the plans) along with a quote of yours from episode 3: Its … a lot of guesswork … a lot of frustration … and a large dollop of hope --- John Seal We await the sea trials! Wonderful! I went and looked at Tally Ho yesterday. That mast is very tall indeed! Your videos are so enjoyable to watch. As others have said, the friendly banter reminds me of time with good friends. The interlude music is the best! Eventually the list of details will shrink and you’ll be on the water.
What a pleasure to watch, to laugh and suffer with you if something goes wrong. I am little bit worried that you will finish your build at last, but I am hopeful that you will start your dinghy cruising career and you will follow the steps of Roger Barnes filming your adventures. And if by chance you would decide to sail down the Danube I hope I can meet you in person.

Plenty salty, still close enough to the spelling to be recognizable, and with plenty of opportunity to make the bewildered landlubber raise his eyebrows and ask himself 'Wait, what did he just say? What should I grab?'😊

Leo addressed the lining up of screw slots saying it was more important to have the screw head at the perfect depth, and the holding power at its best, rather than how it looked. I used to feel the slots had to line up but his argument made sense. So do whatever fits the situation the best.
I am in the process of building a reproduction yacht tender from 1905. I find your videos both wonderful and inspirational. Keep up the good work. And ya, I'll be tuning in to each video. Cheers!
It's this getting older business. I put the kettle on and chat with the neighbor and the whole week has gone and nothing done. So by my standards you have moved mountains. Still it would be nice to see her in the water maybe in two years.
As a maker of things myself, I've learned a bit of patience and you're always worth the wait.
