in the novel, it’s Xiaoxi who says, “I appreciate that you came back and we can go back.” but I think it’s so clever to make Jiang Chen say it in the drama. Because the novel has more scenes and details about how Jiang Chen loves her so much, it doesn’t really matter but it was so important for his character to come through in the drama since there’s many scenes in their adult life that have been cut out. The drama does justice to how the writer of the novel expresses the characters and their emotions even in different settings. This is still one of my favourite dramas ever and I keep coming back to it because it’s comforting in some way.

Xiaoxi's unconditional and persevering love for Jiang Chen endeared her to him so beautifully. Her love is so beautiful indeed amidst all the struggles, misunderstanding & hurts. The good thing about this love story, or what makes this different, is that, there is no bitchy or controlling mother of rich guy against the poor girl, nor is there is a shameless ex-gf of guy persistently getting in the way, that is common in romantic-comedy-drama.

this is my first cdrama and can i just how the story is so well-put with just enough fluff and angst? all the main characters are so lovable and theyre given their own stories until the end, and jiangchen and xiaoxi’s journey to be together is too beautiful😭 love how there are really no grand gestures between them, they expressed their love in their own mundane yet significant ways; from the way xiaoxi chasing after him to the way jiangchen did little things to her behind the scenes? GOSHHH its so pure and innocent, not too much skinships that it feels cringey but just enough amount of it. and i love how it came back full circle at the end when jiangchen told his POV.
and lets talk about how it didnt only successfully capture the story of romantic love but also friendship, family, and youth? i usually dislike dramas with too much time skips but tbh all the time skips in this drama are reasonable and showed their growth as an individual, and in return getting the viewers invested in their stories, not just as mere spectators but we feel like we grow with them together. i have so many things left to say i’ll just end up writing a whole thesis but let me just say this is one of my favorite dramas of all time and mind you i’ve watched hundreds of kdramas before. guess im switching lines to cdrama for the time being😅 THANK YOU A LOVE SO BEAUTIFUL

it is my op fav chinese drama so far! i mean this drama is packed very perfectly from the storyline, characterizations, acting, production, and so on. they executed it very well! im glad there are no cringe scenes and annoying bg sound. it's just so natural. i hope they can always make dramas like this. they really delivered it so well that the audience was immersed in it. it's really very meaningful. im regret why i only got to watch this now. i will miss them, especially jiang chen and xiao xi!!😭

the chemistry is overflowing, their bond is really something. i cant help but to smile to every lines they are staying, its like a permanent stain you don't want to get rid off. jiang chen might be cold but he's te most caring person you've ever meet, only for chen xiaoxi. xiaoxi fell the first but jiang chen fell harder. i hope we could still have season 2 of this drama or a drama which they can be the main roles again. HU YI TIAN AND SHEN YUE CHEMISTRY IS THE BEST GIVE THEM ANOTHER DRAMA.

Watching this episode somehow made me sad. Until the end, Xiaoxi and others didnt see what Jiang Chen has done for Xiaoxi.He remained in the "behind the scene". Xiaoxi would not know that he has also been waiting for her in the morning,has sacrificed his time in return of finding the missing money,has watching her in secret, giving up on Beijing (twice!!), waiting for her under the rain,worrying about her test results,checking on her from his window,etc. A silent love,is painful too be seen,but beautiful to be felt. “A Love So Beautiful” is a very good drama to watch. Xiaoxi and Jiang grow up together from childhood to universities until they graduated. From the beginning Jiang really cares about Xiaoxi a girl who is childish, happy but with his guidance she can excel from her studies. When she promised that she will be in the top 100 she was top 13. Jiang cannot express his feelings toward her but deep inside him he really cares as he gives up a lot of opportunities for his career advancement but he wanted to be by her side. In one episode when he get sick Xiaoxi took cares of him putting a blanket and two tops to makes him warm. He loves her a lot as he knows her very well all her positive and negative character and he knows Xiaoxi is different from any others. He is a genius guy but his love to her cannot be replaced in his heart. Thank you for sharing this drama, to all the cast and crews who did an excellent acts to their roles given. Also to Huace Global Fun for the English sub. More power to all your sharing this drama. Bravo

I watched this drama like 3 years ago when i was the saddest, and it made me laugh all through each episode, i fell in love with every character here and cdramas as a whole after that. I lobe how every episode was named with something that connected to what that episode was about. Now im just scrolling on my youtube and came across it again after all these years, cant help but feel a bit nostalgic. This drama was beautiful, thank you all for makung me smile three years ago💖

The ending narration by him was a great summary of the school days since a lot of people failed to see/understand him since he is such a quiet character who does not openly display his affection like our second lead. He surely got more affectionate as they grew older since he realized that she would not run after him all the time like their younger days and that he also needs to change for the better. The nice doctor at the end is giving me hopes that our dear second lead who is oh, so wonderful (he really did a lot for her through the years) will also find his love one day! Love the series and now that I finished, I can see why it is so memorable for people!

Everyone talking about Chen xiaoxi who actually make this Lovestory with Happily ever after. But I Think it's Jiang Chen who actually completes this story. He loved her from the beginning but he is not expressive like others. He actually notices her every detail. And he valued her love that's what makes this love story more beautiful. In this drama, Wu Bosongi is another Chen xiaoxi who loved someone so desperately but in the end, it matters the person whom you loved isn't loved you same the story doesn't last. Wu Bosong loved Chen xiaoxi but she didn't and Otherside Its easy to fall in love with Hansome, Classtopper, Goodlooking guy like Jiang Chen. Chen xiaoxi loved Jiang Chen and she really tried so hard but she was clumsy but Jiang Chen valued her clumsy way she was not a perfect charmer but Jiang Chen love her with her everything. Chen xiaoxi once thought for break up or giving up on him but Jiang Chen never ever think about this & in between the 3 years gap he literally tells people that he has a girlfriend. For him, she is his World. He can't think of a WORLD without her he came to make back & make that girl his own. And in the end, he expresses why you don't understand I love you so much. Chen xiaoxi & Jiang Chen is a couple like they are the Chaos & full of unfitted imperfect people with 6'2" & 5'2" of height and behavior but damn when I see them it feels like why this chaos looks so heavenly beautiful.

A very satisfying final episode where all the characters have grown and come to a full circle. I love the friendship, most especially, between the rivals, Wu Bosong and Jiang Chen. Wu Bosong knows that Chen Xiaoxi will be happy with Jiang Chen, and so found a way to provoke Jiang Chen to speak up and confess ( it is more bearing if you see and make sure that someone you love will be happy with the person she loves and that the person she loves will also love her as much). But, the most satisfying here is the character of Jiang Chen, learning to humbly ask for forgiveness (it was not easy for someone like him) to regain the love of his life; also, to be more expressive of his love towards Xiaoxi. His love for Xiaoxi really changed him :)
I can't count the times I rewatched this series (and re-read the novel where it's based). There are a lot of reasons why this drama is so addicting to watch. I think the main reason I got addicted to this drama is it showed how love is so beautiful in all aspects of our life (family, friends, teacher-student, romantic, etc.) and how love can unleash the beautiful side of us inspite of our imperfections. I am still hoping for Season 2, but, even if not granted, this story will stay forever with me
