Brilliant video. 'Tis grand to see Skye, which is my primary ancestral home, again. I got to finally see Skye and Scotland as a whole for myself for the first time in September 2015. I long to go home again. Slàinte🏴
Wondwerful pictures!!! Taken when no one is about early in the morning light no doubt. Living up here one knows it’s cheating a little. The reality is our single track roads are overcrowded with huge motor homes followed by a string of impatient locals to the point where a five minute shopping trip is only a sad.winter memory. The five hundred is appreciated by our shop keepers and hoteliers, but it’s hated by practically everyone else up here.
How did you Get pictures from mayor? Did you take a drone with you or get one there? I especially enjoyed the isle of Skye pictures. That was One of the last places we visited on our last trip to Scotland. We were there to visit family. Now my husband is gone and all I have is memories. Thanks for the wonderful photography!
That was beautifully shot especially with your drone can't understand why you haven't got more likes. have 2 questions , seen those big caves with waterfalls in 5:04 can I ask where are they ? and the other quest is the cliff edge at 7:12 was stunning can I ask where that is to ? I emplaning on doing the NC 500 at the beginning of May 2019 any tips would be helpful, Did you follow a set map ? was really impressed and I love Scotland.I saw the list of place in your credits so Have saved your video tome sure they are on mine.
Hi Ray. Thanks for your comment. It's really appreciated. The cave at 5.04 is called "Smoo Cave". Was really nice. There is a member of the public who in his spare time gives people a history of the caves and will put on a boat/dingy to get close to the waterfall. The cliff at 7.12 is " Duncansby Stacks". Its a short walk from Duncansby head lighthouse where you would park. Ny advice for the journey would be to take your time and enjoy it. I rushed through it in 3 days. I will definitely do it again. But take your time and enjoy each part. I did it clockwise and also travelled up through loch lomond and glenfinan from Glasgow. The hills and scenery are awesome to see. Would also recommend visiting some castles (some you have to pay to enter). I would also recommend "corrieshalloch gorge" and the beach at Durness is a must. Enjoy when you go for it and hope you get the weather 👍
Thank you for a quick reply and taking the time to give me advice I will take it with open arms .I have a camper van and did about 12 of the Islands last year and loved it. I am looking forward now to getting up there with my Mavic Pro and my DJI Osmo Pocket. I will take up to 14 days weather permitting I should get some good shots.Once again thanks for the quick advice @@marklamb7352
Amazingly beautiful shots. Don't know how I missed this video earlier in the year. I assume you have lots of experience of filming by drone to have done such a nice job. Was that Smoo cave? I now have a better idea of what it's like thanks.
@Mark Lamb Hey Mark, we are going to go in Juli near Thurso for about 3 weeks .. where is this spot with the robebridge and the big fall(1:55) and the viaduct (0:35)?? Very thx for the vid!
Hey. This was filmed in June. Roads weren't too busy and tourist spots weren't too bad either. Weather was decent too but that's just down to luck 👍 November would be awesome with some dry cold days or lucky enough with snow. Enjoy
Good Idea Maureen but it is hard to do.I had every intension of doing that last year but could not remember where I was when I got home but what I may do this time is talk over my video's as I make them but next you will be asking for subtitles for my broad Scouse accent lol
