- The bad ending for Megadimension VII. There's no trophy, no CGI, no artwork for this. There's nothing there at all, So its pretty much pointless to get this ending. The only thing it does is send you to the newgame plus menu. Also this ending does not show up in the gallery as I could not find it there, so the only way to see it in game is to avoid the 4 dream events and continue with the story

+Gianluca A Yeah I agree, they could've at least put a trophy or something for this ending instead of leaving it with nothing, and the way it cuts to the credits leaves it open for anything, like Nepgear and her team winning and saving everyone, or Nepgear and the others dying one by one.

You get this ending by ignoring the optional quests around, being the ones with the green exclamation points. Don't think this is any darker like the Conquest one, but damn.

+philipinoboy13 They appear once you viewed the event after entering the heart dimension. After that, the map will pop up the main quest icon and the optional ones across, of which there are four of them. Create roads to reach those four optional quests to get the normal ending. Choosing to ignore them and proceeding to the main quest would net you this ending instead.
I think this a lot darker than Conquest one.
At least Conquest feel more bitter sweet like good ending of some serious game.
But this one is obliviously Bad End even it’s a ending of Warcraft of Max Payne.
@@bakacdaz Yeah. This is worse than Conquest ending. The world literally ends, unlike in conquest ending. This is more horrifying while Conquest ending is sadder.

So, in other words, The main CPUs became Iris Heart with an enemy. Kind of clear they are kind of fake though, with the dead eyes in HDD.
+Snow Storm Yeah pretty much, the main CPUs are now evil, and will only get more evil as the ending goes on, too bad it cuts off to the credits. As for the eyes, it only shows that they've fallen to corruption and evil.

I realized that after I watched the entire series, but they just make me think of Kurome's illusion ability. Also, it brings an unnaturally dark theme to the neptunia series, which is interesting.

I remember someone saying how that in the anime, the Conquest Ending was a dream so he formed a theory that it's the same situation in the official MK2 game. And here, Nepgear says "If I'm dreaming, hurry and wake up!" so that wouldn't be too unrealistic. Also, I think after you get this ending, it should just say "THE END" with no ED sequence.
I wonder how bad things would get if the four corrupted CPUs went into next form. Like a corrupted next form Purple Heart torturing Nepgear.

The fact that the writers apparently forgot that the Ultradimension was still a thing ruins this ending for me. They could probably still save what's left of Gamindustri with the UD CPUs' help.

@@noobdude5933 Tell where was the stable portal from the true end of Victory/Rebirth 3? Nepgear went straight into despair when their big sisters got corrupted but all they had to do was send a message for help and then the good guys will suddenly have five extra goddesses from the Ultradimension as reinforcements. If you take that into account then you'll realize that this situation wouldn't even be truly an ending since the situation could still go either way. Heck, Mk2/Rebirth 2 started out with a situation that was almost as bad yet they managed to pull through.
@@klade5031 Yeah Id agree thats bad on their part but remember too Nepgear states Heart and Hyper dimension were colliding/merging so maybe that cut off ties to Ultradimension?
@@klade5031 I understand your point, but you gotta understand that they have their own nations and their own dimension to take care of. Who knows what kinda disaster Ultra Dimension was in during these events? They can't risk dying in another dimension and leaving their own nation to rot. Neptune was gone from Planeptune for days and it fell into ruin in V/Rebirth 3, if you don't remember. Plutia wouldn't do the same mistake.
The most effective bad endings ( or even just Game Overs) are the ones that really emphasize how much you, the player, messed up.
Examples are this ending, Sonic CD's bad ending, Injustice 2's Absolute Power ending, Donkey Kong 64's Game Over screen, and the Kill Michael/Trevor endings in GTA V
Yeah and even after I played Worldend Syndrome and got it's bad ending, it's one of those games that you know you messed up and hell even then in the first playthrough of the game, your first ending is the Worst Ending cause you get that ending automatically on your first playthrough, doesn't matter what you did in your choices in the prologue, you're screwed.
may as well ad the latest fire emblem game over at the final fight, really dark too and that is a recent one, glade they are still using these dark endings/game overs

Ah I love this ending. Not just because Kurome wins and evidently I have a sig liking for Kurome but because the state of gamindustri is left up to the player's interpretation. The whirlpool of delusion clears but it leaves you heavily suspicious that gamindustri has been completely destroyed which is pretty neat.
Doesn’t Kurome say she wants to create a world of delusion and striff? I think she’d purposefully leave some people alive to see then struggle
@@auser4649 I believe so. I do think the type of strife she wants to see though is the last few citizens of gamindustri dying in the gutter as the dimensions fuse. If her dream of Heartdimension is what she desires happening to hyperdimension then there is going to be very little of gamindustri remaining intact. I believe that could be case given Kurome says the line "to make this a reality" when referring to the completely destroyed heartdimension.

+Eduardo de Araújo Conquest since it goes on longer, if we seen the 4 CPU's on the other hand kill their sisters in this part then it would be worse. I don't think is ending hits home enough personally due to not seeing the effects.

I think it's better if there is multiple unwinnable battle against the CPU that decrease Nepgear's party as story advance, complete with cg for every battle showing the death of the member (prize if manage to win, but with losing scenario like Yellow Heart 1st battle) so u got clear image of desperation.

this is worst than conquest at least there the CPUs died on the same side as nepgear and the others. Not like this.
Conquest was way worse because the writers were still giving it there all and made an ending that was not hopeful but well-written. I don't know if I'm proud of it but watching an LP of that end really made me a Neptunia fan. Because I saw so much story potential and it gave me so many ideas, I could only love the series more. I had already thought the game's lore ran much deeper than shown but that end drove it home. Now I have a doc full of various ideas I record.
Conquest was so evil because it came out of fucking nowhere. Come Megadimension and the devs know that we know they can be evil, so they made this ending even more disturbing to make up for having lost the element of surprise. Both are evil in their own way.

even though i already got this ending, iam still bother by this scene. well you know, it's hard to see your favorite cute main character tries to torture her sister in such a way xD
this is the first ending that really got me and the ending in the second series where nepgear kill everyone

In the remake, they toned down the strangling part quite a bit. Adult Neptune jumps in much sooner now, thank goodness.

How odd that I come back to this video after so long just to see the bad ending of this game; guess I'm more bothered by it than I realized. Perhaps I am also attracted to the prospect of how this bad end should end since it was left open to imagination and interpretation. I'm sure the devs left it open as they did to not traumatize the more sensitive players than necessary.

Erfan Ghasem Zadeh I posted this before I got the true ending and FUCKING IDEA FACTORY TOOK MY IDEA IN THE TRUE ENDING! DAMN YOU, IDEA FACTORY!!!! It was the military actually doing something. I mean I could still make it work but it has a lot less impact.
Now I though the Conquest Ending in Mk2 was just messed up but this one just took the cake and then ate it as well.

Jesus... This ending actually sounds like it would lead to a sequel. But, I don't see how they could, in good conscience, start a sequel stemming from this ending. I hope this isn't the actual canon ending, but it sounds like it's not impossible.
+Melrian no thats not gonna happen, like all the others the true ending with all 4 CPUs saved and Uzume's revival is mostly likely cannon for the seires. As for this bad ending, its pretty much up to the fans to decide what happens next.

+Melrian Either the True ending or the normal ending has to be canon. This ending is similar to the conquest ending from MK2, it was pretty much put in the show what happens when they fail to save the 4 CPUs.
I would have liked a continuation from the Conquest ending as well but I know it wouldn't happen. It seems that the Neptunia game's bad endings always leave space for your imagination. That's why I actually like them.

Infelious Kazkari this is a Japanese game, the game gets translated into English, reformatted to make sense, and even in Japanese Neptune called Nepgear Nep Jr, direct translation I don't know though, because I don't fully speak Japanese, only a select few phrases and songs I can do

+ErogeSensei XD same here. But if you add them as well as other characters like MAGES, Marvy and 5PB to what they have now. They will have a very big team, so there is a big chance of them winning. With the way it skips to the end credits, anything is possible for a real ending.

@@rougedragonwhiteflame3990 there are four green exclamation marks in the heart dimension just go to those spots before you tackle the dungeon that opens up along with the green exclamation marks then you'll get cutscenes and then you're done you've avoided the bad ending and can continue the game stress free (until you realise you got the normal ending and have to do the true ending which is a whole other beast)

@@rougedragonwhiteflame3990 Revival ending you have to do every quest in part 1, complete both of histoires missions. In part 2, You have to view the daydream events for Histoire, Blanc, Noire, and Vert. After that be on the path for Ascension ending, and have 60% shares in Planeptune, and 40% shares for the other nations, when you beat the final boss of the Ascension Ending(Use Share Usage Down scouts for an easier time saving shares)
How did this happened
Kurome kidnapped the CPU's at the end of part 2 (This game is split into 3 parts) Nepgear and friends go into Zero Dimension and meet with Uzume to try and find Kurome before following Kurome to Heart Dimension after saving UD Neptune from Arfoire she leads them to Kurome but the dreams of the CPU's open up as well, if you ignore the dreams and go straight to Kurome, this happens.

Okay, so I have managed to get a Neptunia/Sonic crossover idea based on this ending.
Essentially, the Candidates unintentionally summon Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Silver, Blaze, over to the Hyperdimension. The Heroes then try to free the CPUs from their corruption after learning about everything and fighting monsters. They also have to deal with Eggman, who seems to be working with Kurome. Little does Eggman know that Kurome has plans that would screw over Eggman.

Well... I'm on the route to the true end so :D but tbh. Fhe sisters are stronger than the actual CPUs , but I could tell why they held back. They ARE related after all. Uni could just shoot Noire tho :/ Knock her out

+hafizh nobita No Nepgear had nothing to do with them being evil, it was Kurome who corrupted them. As soon as you enter Heart dimension in the game, there are 4 dream events that you can view, by watching them you will be able to save all 4 CPUs when you reach this part, if you ignore the 4 dream events, you will get this ending.
