DAMN, this was funny as hell! Nice job again on this one! I absolutely love my GoPro Hero 11 MINI...as an Action Fishing Cam! I, too, had trouble editing the GP Hero 11 footage and upgraded to the monster AMD Ryzen 9 7950X w/ 64GB of Ram! Now, I think I'm ready to edit 12K Raw video of everyone's mom.
Wow, your talking positive about GP. Now I'm impressed. I still love my my 11 and am looking forward to seeing what the 12 has to bring. Hopefully it get your attention in a positive manner.
Still use and love my hero 9. Works flawlessly for me and I never felt the 10 or 11 offered enough of a leap. Genuinely excited for the 12 as it feels like the model that could be a big enough step on from the 9 for me
i have the 9 too but if i knew what i know today i would have bought the 10 instead. using the Gopro Labs firmware you can increase the bitrate from 95mbps up to 200mbps, that's huge!! Of course I only found out about it months after i bought the 9 XD I hope the 12 has this feature without needing beta firmware, and that it performs better in low light!
Best headgear expansion in the biz. Cinematic arms beyond anything you ever got from Fuji or Olympus. Your suggestions for a vlog version of Gopro make perfect sense and would be so affordable to manufacture. Best pragmatic ideas yet for a perfect stroll 'n roll camera. While I'm at it I should patent the term "stroll 'n roll." If not from Gopro there should be another surfer -based company that sees the value and could make the hit standard, affordable camera for all who walk around and talk about whatever. Get the California team who designed the Honda Element so you could hose off your dog before returning from the beach, I'm sure they could do it with a couple of quick meetings about what a lens is. They can hire them from your boardroom scenes. Some camera engineers are about ready to quit from their bosses who just make them cry. Why not work for a surfer, dude? I only own a couple of hero sevens. I felt no compulsion to upgrade . Unfortunately, I thought the best camera GoPro ever made was the hero five session . If GoPro wanted to make me happy, they would take all the latest tech from their newest models and throw them into a GoPro hero 12 session . All I want is NFC so I can tap my phone to the GoPro to launch the app, sync the date and time and have the camera settings on the touchscreen along with the view from the lens . It feels like I am in the video, true 3d and not what Apple tries to market with iPhone 15/Apple Vision Pro combo
For me it would be enough if GoPro12 just worked like it supposed to. GoPro11 crashes all the time, media mod microphone is garbage, normal microphone crap as well. How can they screw this up much?
GoPro is not for showing off your teenage girl skin. It's for showing off what you can do. I have a Mini that I put on my helmet for hockey. For those of you that don't know what it is, it's basically UFC on ice with some skating and weapons fighting mixed in. Why don't you use an Olympus for vlogging like you used to? Not sure you're going to get the stabe from a Nikon. Also, my iPhone 14 Pro sucks at faces (too much of a cheap, digital look on anything bigger than an iPad) but gives you a glorious look at the outside world.

The 2K sensor is a good idea but it needs to be full frame. The Blackmagic OG has a too small sensor area so the shots look flat because you get no background separation or focus transitions that encode depth of field.
The format and size of the sensor is perfectly fine, but the megapixel count is way too high. GoPro should release a Hero 12S that has lower megapixel count (basically whatever yields ~5.3k after hypersmooth-cropping) and shaves off the completely uninteresting photo features. The format and size of the sensor is perfectly fine, but the megapixel count is way too high. GoPro should release a Hero 12S that has lower megapixel count (basically whatever yields ~5.3k after hypersmooth-cropping) and shaves off the completely uninteresting photo features. Hero 11's biggest weakness is its detrimental low light performance.
