Every year I make my nieces and nephews an ornament. This my mother in law is in the beginning/middle stages of dementia. I’m her primary caregiver. My husband and I are the only family she has here. Her other children live out of state. So I am making her one ornament each day in December.❤❤

I’ve found that different types of wood affect how you have to use the wood burning tool, and hard woods are more difficult to burn on.
Just a tip, I wouldn’t recommend wood burning things that already have finishes , varnishes, or stains on them. There may be fumes abuse from the burning. I’d recommend purchasing unfinished boards and staining and using food safe oil to finish. Lots of options out there.
